HAVE: Perennial sunflowers, mixed

I'm going to thin out my sunflowers this Spring. I have a mixed border and can't guarantee any particular breed. That said, I have these:

-Helianthus giganteus 'Sheila's Sunshine'

-H. simulans

-H. maximilianii (and H. m. 'Sante Fe' and 'Lemon Yellow')

-H. angustifolius 'Mellow Yellow'

There are some Silphiums mixed in, but they don't transplant as easily. Also, there is Culver's Root and Ironweed mixed in, so there is a small chance that I may inadvertently send some of that along. There are also a few other types/breeds like H. 'Lemon Queen' and H. x multiflorus 'Flore Pleno' that I never seem to notice until they bloom, so they may get passed on also.

I'll be glad to send some bareroot before they come out of dormancy (let's say before mid-April at the latest) if any of you are interested.

Are you looking for something specific in trade or would you consider postage? I've got some SC weeds...a true delicacy for chickens, LOL. I'd love to have some!

I just found a little box of perennial wildflower seed mix that someone had given me and I didn't use it. This gives this newbie something else besides Columbine to trade...yay!! Hi Ann, I would love to get your seeds. I have been a member of the GW for a little over a month. We just moved back to NC after living on top of VA"s higest mountain for 15 years. I gave up trying to garden there becaues of the short growing season and a huge deer population. Here I am hopeing to get some nice flowers going to help me enjoy my retirement. Thanks, Janet

I have a Sante Fe Helianthus that I need to move and I'm not sure how to do it. Can anyone give me some advice? When would be the best time to move it? I've read other places that the roots are really more like rhizomes, is that correct? I love it but I had no idea it would take over like it has, in only 2 years.
