overwatered during descaling? meyer lemon in container

So, I took my tree to the bathtub today for a major descaling with the jet spray. I wanted to make sure that I descaled him as much as possible before I went away on vacation, which is only a week but the scale seems to multiply quite fast.

I had him on his side, and everything, but the soil still got quite soaked. This is mostly due to the fact that I had him in there for almost an hour, so while I was spraying away from the soil, there was enough time for it to deflect into the container and 'water' it. I think he is now overwatered, even though I thought I was being extremely careful keeping the water away from the dirt.

I removed lots and lots of scale, not all of it, but many. After he drains out a bit, I'll put him back in my room and go at it with the alcohol and q-tips again.

So... the overwatering thing. I know this is a newbie question, but how can I be sure, and what can I do for him so that he suffers less for my graceless descaling?
