Love them all. You have amassed a 10-piece Kelly Griffin Aloe Extravaganza!

My favs are RFG, Medium well done, Midnight, and Pink Blush. I have a few also, but many are not named. Pink Blush has been blushing more and more recently.

Don't limit yourself to only Kelly Griffin hybrids. The Huntington is going to have several new Karen Zimmerman hybrids for sale this Spring. Jim Smith has been breeding some interesting forms. Dick Wright has created hundreds, but they are very hard to come by. And there are many others.

I'm just collecting hybrids that I like, but not focusing on just one hybridizer. In the last few weeks many have changed color from green to deep purple, yellows and reds. Some have surfaces like sand-paper, others interesting markings, or really big teeth, some molars, others incisors. The variety of small hybrids Aloes available now is wonderful.

Thank you Izrddr, I was always insecure about that ID, It came to me as a possible A . ibitiensis, so I always put the "?" there. I guess I should go and change it on my flicker account. I have been using that as the way I keep track. I am always loosing tags. Do you agree with the ID of the first picture. That one came without an IS and I saw a very similar aloe on XW just the other day. Italways looked KINDA like A deltoideodonta but not quite. I always thought it was a hybrid and then I saw his and it seemed a good match. I am still just a wild guesser.

Sure... I'll try to take some pics. But my albiflora is pretty small! It had no roots when I got it this fall. I didn't complain, though, because I'd been on a quest for it for months, and it was a gift from a terrific grower (where I ordered 25 other plants). I think it's rooted pretty well now and I think it even has a tiny pup. On more photographs... I have to hydrate my biggest aculeata before I photograph it... it's looking parched and skinny and a bit sunbrowned. I've been growing it kinda hard. On other favorites... I want to try a couple more in the fleurentiniorum group, like inermis and kahinii, but they're sorta hard to find. When you find them, though... The texture on the leaves is like nothing else! I also want to get dinteri (again! mine died, alas!) and sladeniana. Handsome miniatures.

Hey Jo! I also got a few KG hybrids. After seeing your posts on the KG hybrids I kept my eyes peeled. I went to Home Depot , low and behold, KG hybrids in a succulent planter. They were 10 a piece. I was able to pull 9 A. gasterolea 'Mignight', 8 'Pink Blush' and another 9 'Silver Ridge' all of which had plenty of roots. For 20! Plus all the other succulents that went in the dish also. I am now hooked as well on KG hybrids although this was most likely an act of God that I found them. Hopefully Ill get lucky again and be able to expand my collection. Thank you for sharing all those pictures. Without them I would have had no idea about the KG hybrids. plant_junkie

Hi joscience, Thank you. Same here. Have also heard of Raspberry Ruffles. I'm hoping someone here can help. I had found an email for Kelly, but never heard back. To me it looks like an aloe I got called "Shark God", by Nathan Wong. Same pattern, but diff. color.. I got Shark God at same nursery. They're big and very reputable, so not sure what to think.

Thank you beachplant... I think Pink Blush is my favorite! It was the first I got then wanted more. I actually have 3. lol.. One is forming pups right now..

Thanks..:) I would love one of all of Kelly's..:) My pinks are getting great color too! Even my hubby commented when he got home yesterday how nice they were getting!

Thank you for the suggestions of other breeders... And yes, I have my eye on them! :)
I LOVE Dick Wrights, and yes they are HARD to come by!
And I've seen a peak of the ones coming up from Huntington soon and want some. :)

I was so excited to get RFG, and Medium Well Done! Blue Fang and Neon Lights have never been offered comercial.

I do love they stay small! I live in a trailor park. I would like to put together a mixed bed in the spring. I hate everyone in a little pot. Want to see all the pretty colors together.

I have a little cutie called "Shark God" by Nathen Wong. It's his first named, and I don't know if he has any more.

Do you collect Kelly Griffins? Or Aloes in general?

I have a variety, not just Kellys. Spent years with the comon aloe, and seeing all these colors on them is fun!
