Brown soft spots on premature lemons

Have a 2-year-old meyer lemon tree that's pretty healthy, though it took an unusual turn over the weekend.

The tree has about 20 lemons on it, but over the weekend about 5 of those lemons developed a soft brown spot on one side, I believe on the side that faces skyward. Also, some of the older leaves started yellowing. We had an extremely hot weekend in San Diego so is it maybe heat-related?

As for other possibilities

1. I've been spraying spinosad (sp?) about once a week because the citrus leaf miners have been having a good time on this tree this summer.

2. I recently fertilized using an organic mix. I fertilize about once every 3 months.

3. I water with a drip hose about once a week for three hours.

Only a few of the lemons are affected so I'm not THAT concerned, I just want to make sure this isn't the start of something bad if I don't address it in some way. Thanks!
