Is that brown fur on the back of my stagorn fronds the spores?
Do the spores become ripe or bigger that they might be observed better using a hand lens?
I read that it is not feasible for the home gardener to sprout the spores, and I'm not concerned about that. (The monster I have is enough, thank you!!)
I'll be taking some fronds to school for 2nd graders' lesson on spores and would like to know a little more about what we're looking at, if possible.
Thanks.
