Can I get Moss to Grow under my Pine Tree?

I have a pine tree under which nothing will grow but a few odd weeds. It's part-sun, actually fairly sunny because it is the only tree around and the bottom branches were removed and so it gets a fair amount of sun. The area is soggy in the winter (under water in big storms), but since we live in the PNW, it's very dry in the summer. Can you think of any moss that would tolerate these conditions? Partly-sunny, under a pine tree, wet in winter, dry in summer? If not moss... any other ideas? It needs to be a low-ground cover because it's a small section between our driveway and walkway.
