I don't have a blog but I totally agree with what you wrote on yours! I've got to get my gardening fix every day also. I love looking at everyone's beautiful pictures and learning from mistakes and successes. I've garnered so much from the Cottage Garden forum and I've been so thrilled when a fellow gardener has complimented me on what (with God's help) I'm been able to accomplish.

I'm glad you like the blog. I just can't stop writing!

I think I've got "cabin fever" in the summer! I'm starting to question if retiring was the right decision now that I can't be outside all the time in this heat.

I worked for a software company, so I'm currently obsessed with learning everything that I can about blogging and Google. I think I'm missing my old job...yikes!

Kudzu, I turned 50 last October. I did not take it very gracefully, I must admit. I refused any kind of celebration. I figured I had celebrated enough by gaining 20 lbs this year. I pouted and started looking for trouble in the mirror. And I found it!!! The old woman was there pointing out things to me that I had not noticed before. She was making some of it up though. She made me so mad one day I sprayed WINDEX on her. You really do look great at Fifty!!!!!! And you have a lot of really wonderful stuff going on with your life. Your wisdom and talent is appreciated by everyone who reads your blog and your postings here!!! Plus each Birthday is a ROMANTIC celebration as well!!!! I hope this is the best ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nell/Token, Thanks for the tip on writing where you are. I never thought about that! It is in my profile, but who wants to go digging for that info? So I fixed mine. Annette, You can do a blog! I figured it out. That's why I started in November. I had all winter to make mistakes, lol. I am a computer idiot. I remember the time some program said to click anywhere on the desktop. Now I'm not completely stupid. I knew it didn't mean the actual desktop, lol, but I'm like what is the desktop? So I ask my husband. He of course is in another room saying just click anywhere. I'm yelling back anywhere where? Lol. He comes to the room and explains the whole computer screen background is the desktop. Well that's a stupid name, lol. I don't post every day. I try not to let it go too long between posts. At first I felt bad when I would miss posting at the appropriate time of a certain plant. I now realize, I can't post everything and it will give me something different to post about during the winter, next year or some subseqent year. My blog though is really a photoblog. I don't write much. I take a lot of photos and try to pick ones that I think people will enjoy seeing. I use Blogger/Blogspot which I find very easy. I have Wordpress for my business site, and it is not as easy for me. But we are all different in how we figure things out. I hear ya! The weather is so stinkin hot we can't do much but try and stay busy in the house.

I retired in late 2002 and have never missed it. After 36 years working for the Fed Gov't I'd had my belly full.

This is always the hardest time of the year for me because of the weather. The older I get the less I can do in the heat, therefore, I can't get into the garden like I want to. Plus I fuss every year because I don't cut back and/or pull out plants as I should and around this time it begins to look like a jungle. I hate that. I like a full look but not an overgrown unkept look.

Alas, this too will pass and we'll be boo hooing about the cold weather, LOL :-).

Cameron, thank you for your kind words. I have your blog bookmarked but haven't visited in a few days. Now I'm curious to see what all you have to say since being on a writing binge of sorts ;) At the moment DH is taking me for breakfast and a surprise??!! I'm looking forward to a great day and I'll check in with you and your blog later on.

Cameron, Vikki Â I hear you about "cabin fever in summer". Too much bright sun now gives me a rash, not the golden glow of youth.

Autumn's on the way. I've already heard the crickets announcing it. Keep a sweater handy and let's hope it's a long one.
