And this is a picture of the Citrus Tree. It is blooming like crazy but yet is still dropping leaves and starting this weird dead leaf spotting thing.

Is there anyone that can help me out?

I'm no expert buy my guess is that the leaves on your Key Lime tree are very mature and it is getting ready to flush out with some new vegetative growth. Sometimes, trees will pull Nitrogen or Chlorophyll from older leaves to put the energy into new growth. You should see the older leaves slowly turn yellow and then fall off. You may also notice that the petiole scars (area where old leaves were attached to the stem) will show tiny new growth.

When was the last time you fertilized your tree? Your tree may also need some Iron, magnesium, manganese and some N-P-K. Citrus often needs Iron and other Macro and Micro nutrients, especially if you water a lot. If you want to go with chemical fertilizers, look for one with slow release nitrogen and make sure it has added micronutrients. I believe HomeDepot sells Vigoro Citrus fertilizer that is pretty good(I may have spelled it wrong). -

It is very easy to overdo it with chemical fertilizers and kill your plants so if you want to be safe, try using Fish Emulsion and Kelp emulsion and follow the instructions. Please keep us updated.

Thank you for your response. I fertilized it with Jobe's 09226 Organic Fruit & Citrus Granular Fertilizer about 3 weeks ago. I treated it for Iron deficiency in the spring and it worked wonders. New growth came in strong then with great looking leaves. It is occurring in leaves just below the new growth, so I'm not sure if this is old leaves just falling or not. Some of the smaller branches are almost bare of leaves except for the new growth that just occurred mid summer. Could this still be a defiecency?

It could still be deficient in Macro/Micro nutrients. Have you checked the pH of your soil? If the pH is too High or too low, it can affect nutrient absorption. You can give it lots of micronutrients but it may be too difficult for the roots to take up the nutrients if the pH is out of wack.

Another thing it could be is overwatering. You should let potted citrus dry out slightly before the next watering otherwise you can encourage root rot. Next time, before you water your citrus, tip the pot on its side and check the drainage holes and feel if the soil on the bottom is wet. If its still wet, do not water.

Your plants actually look pretty healthy to me but I do notice that in the pictures you posted that they are in some shade. citrus loves sunlight and you should put them in the sunniest location you can find. There is lots of talk in the citrus forum about Gritty Mix and 5-1-1 mix. I believe these are mixes that are fast draining and can be beneficial to citrus.

There is a good chance that your trees are simply dropping old leaves before new ones come in. Please keep us updated.

They are actually in full sun. The picture was taken as the sun was setting so there was some shadow. Fertilized today so hopefully some results show through. Any other suggestions?
