What does the mix look like? Do you have adequate drainage for the water? How often do you water? Do you have any pictures? Hopefully we can give you some help here to save your plant.

I used cacti mix with pebbles. I do think I have good drainage. I water once a week or when I stick my finger in the soil and it's completely dry I water. That picture is what I did this morning. I'll post a picture of what I did look like

Well, this is no Jade.

This is/was Portulacaria afra, the Elephant's [food] Bush, aka Spekboom.

The current pots are too large, in my opinion, and the potting mix is too fine to be appropriate for these plants. The cuttings do root fairly easily, so hopefully you can continue this plant from the cuttings. From what I can see of the original stump, there is not much life left...if any.

It's not a Jade plant, it's a Portulacaria afra, likely having drainage problems. Sorry, I don't know what to suggest other than pebbles in the mix aren't usually a good idea. Generally we suggest for folks using commercial C&S mix to add up to 50% perlite to make for better drainage.

Let's see what others have to say as I don't grow this anymore.

I ordered it online. It's was suppose to be a jade cause that's what my pops wanted so I guess I need to find one. Do y'all know of any good online stores

Jades should be available at most nurseries locally.

The Port. afra is very commonly sold as a Dwarf Jade or Baby Jade or Mini Jade. Many folks are confused by this all around the world, in fact.

When you get your Jade (and when these Port. afra cuttings get bigger), you'll want to use a free-draining mix that is composed of porous, gritty components primarily - such as perlite, pumice, lava rock, turface, sharp gravel (no sand!), and a small fraction of fine bark or potting mix (if you must). In your zone 3 Winters especially, you'll want a mix that dries out within a week to help prevent root-rot.

Thank you. I found some jade plants on line. Stayin away from anything that say dwarfs jade. Lol. Thanks again y'all

Before you order online, pls. check locally, you can probably find it depending on where you live; shipping can be VERY expensive (some times even more than the actual plant). I've seen it in my local supermarket lately also usually in Big Box Stores.

Also for the 2 tiny pieces those 2 pots in the first pic are way too big, danger is to rot the plants, try the smallest clay pots you can find.
