OFF T.Hey Guys I sure missed you,been a rough few weeks!

Sure missed you all this is the first day I have been back on the computer since before Thanksgiving.I have had some really bad days but hopefully things will be better now.My boys Father passed the day after Thanksgiving,then on Monday we had to have my MIL 16 year old dog put to sleep,she has had some real bad days,even to the point of begging me to go get him and bring him back in the house.Both of Mikes kids have pneumonia,boy they have been sick.Then I heard Mom screaming tuesday so I go out running to her house,and slip in the wet leaves and crack a bone in my wrist.Not as young as I used to be.Its not real bad it is in a brace,and hurts like the devil but it could have been worse.

Mike it sure is good to see you back,Hugs.

Tootie is getting better at last she has gotten all of her stitches out,so she is doing much better.Love you guys and missed you all.

Oh, Bonnie, good to see you! I can see you have been a little pre-occupied. But such bad news. Hope the grandkids get well soon, that is nothing to mess with. Hope MIL's pain abates soon, but I can certainly understand her hanging on to her beloved dog. Hard to do.

And you!! Glad it was only a broken wrist but sorry to hear you broke anything at all! Yep, can't do what we used to!!

Well, I hope and pray your spirits stay as up as you sound! Take care, and take care of yourself. Welcome back!

Shellybabe, the last (6th) chick hatched with a funny crook in it's neck. It's not eating much and seems sick. It's under a heat lamp in my bathroom with water and room to run around. I'm thinking it's going to either die peacefully or be a runt that I keep as my favorite pet. Poor little thing. There is no way to give it to mommy hen and the others. My hen is a great mother. And she knows how to count. When she was distracted I scooped up one baby and a few moments later she started counting, noticed one was missing and went nuts until I put the little one back down. I find that freaking amazing. Meanwhile, they are putting up with a zillion teenaged boys on a skate ramp only feet away from the henhouse. Hopefully chickens don't need peace and quiet.

Hi Folks, I'm here, just too busy to answer individual EMs. I'm w/ an accounting firm & tax filing deadline was last week; we've been up to our eyeballs in alligators as they say. Now I can breathe a bit, but have big quilting deadlines, so really just posting to GW. Hi Tisha, I did see one EM from you quite recently. Hope you've been doing well in these times. The name of the other place was (I believe) That Garden Forum, tho' I think it's a PAYING site. A number of those folks (who went there) have come back, some under different handles (for instance Jeff Harris now uses the tag CactusMcHarris). Hiya Larry, VERY nice EM from you, I recently printed it so I could read it during my commute & prepare to answer. Good to hear you & your wife are feeling reasonably well these days. Thankfully most things are good w/ me. Going on 3 yrs. at the job now, lowish pay put REALLY good people & excellent company, quilting life goes on, couple of health problems, a big knee injury in end Jan. followed up PT, etc. It's been a PAIN but I'm walking well again, but w/ a cane, sigh!!! Thanks for asking!!

I love the saddle oxfords and party dress combination! My Mama used to steer me to the oxfords for school shoes and I always hated them. So, I can........and would......spread my toes so wide the shoe salesman couldn't slip them over my feet. I was holding out for Mary Janes or T-straps (patent leather please) or even wedgies. Fat chance. When I was finally old enough to buy my own shoes, the first pair I ever bought was black oxfords. Blew my mother's mind. And if all else failed, and we were stateside....I'd agree to penny loafers. With inflation, they'd have to make them large enough to hold credit cards, now.

My stepson gave me a break tonight so I get to sleep in my bed for the first time in 3 weeks,I am so tired,hopefully I will be able to sleep,I am so excited to be home I feel like its all new,but it sure need a good dusting,lol.Oh well I am just glad to be in my dusty home.Thank you all for your prayers,we still have a way to go,Mom has a OT twice a week a PT 4 times a week,and a nurse twice.She has had a rough go of it,she had blood clots in her legs,heart,and lungs.The Dr's went in and put a screen like thing in to break up the clots she was throwing,so hopefully once she gets her strength back,things will get close to normal. I sure hope everyone in Tx is okay the storm looked bad. Love you all. Bonnie

Poor Bonnie. Next year is going to be better for you I promise. We have had our share of bad luck. Its time for it to go away. Sorry I haven't been in touch lately. I had some things going on too but not as bad as yours. Take care of yourself and when I win the lottery we will all go on a cruise, lol. Love ya.

Bonnie, I hate that you have had so much happen to you but am glad that you are back here. Folks laugh at me at work cause of all the holidays I hate to work it is New Years. My boss (who has known me as more than an employee for over 15 years) thought I just wanted to go party. But then I explained that New Years day is my "ME" time to focus and recharge for the new year. For me the New Year is literally a new beginning so hopefully you will have a new beginning with the new year.

I agree with you all it is time for a new year,new hopes and dreams and with Gods help not so much pain,it seems that all of us in one way or another has had a rough year.We have to believe it will be better.Thanks for the welcome back.

Brenda,you know me I will bounce back,Matt came home for Thanksgiving he was here when he got the call about his Father but they were not close,he never was a daddy to them,but stll makes us all stop and think.

Bonnie, I completely understand the stress dealing with everything. This has been one of our worst years also. Seems like that for a lot of us.

Are you in a cast or splint? Will the wrist require surgery? (My daughter just had the cast removed from her hand; pins were removed 2 weeks ago.)

Take care of yourself. Don't push too hard during the holidays -- I know that is almost impossible, but try.

Sorry you have been having such a rough time. Its gotta get better now! So happy that Tootie is doing so well and hope that she continues to improve. Take care of that wrist and try not to do too much.

Bonnie, I am so sorry that you have been having all these trials. I pray that they will soon be a thing of the past. Glad your doggy is doing better, and hope your wrist (ouch) will heal quickly. My 12 y.o. GS broke his collar bone (left side) and the next day my DD found him outside skateboading! She said he had a very bad time that night being in pain. It's hard to keep active kids inactive.

Thank you all so much,Lucy that is why I came here for the support and love that this extended family always has.I can count on you all being here.
Amelia pepper lady-I have a brace with metal on the top and bottom of the wrist to keep it in place,no surgery Thank Goodness.It is one of the small bones,and just cracked,so they think just the brace for a few weeks and I will be fine,and you are right I have a hard time not doing,I am always doing something,I don't even have my Christmas tree up,we might have to do with Christmas dishes and a decorated table this year.
