OT: POTD : my seed bank is open lol

Good morning friends

I have tried so hard to get the packets ALL ready...but this is how far I have come so far

if you see anything there you want...e mail me or write it here.

I will fill the *requests* as I see fit.

Meaning that you mention that I had promised you this or that seed, you have priority ok.

Also regulars have the first dips too. Hope lurkers and visitors understand that. Not that you can not POST interrest...but please do not be left out if I did not have enough seeds to share with ALL.

Kristy I am glad it worked and made you laugh :-) *hugs* This was the second year for it. 1st year I only had it in a pot and it grew fairly small. Then I popped it in full sun in the ground and it grew very nicely. I sure hope it comes back. Isn't it a perennial? maybe I figure out how to root it and send the ones who like it some :-) Lucy

Oh sorry I forgot to answer that about the other plant...It is this huge shrub that is covered with these little trumpet like flowers. It is 20 years or older and I have NO idea what the name is. Kylie ...hicks...where were you...hicks...I had to drink it all by myself...hicks Lucy

those are some really neat shrubs! They are just barely starting to become popular here. There's a house down the street that has an enourmous clump of the yellow flowered variety. Two years ago, you could find one every once in a while in a nursery here and there. Now, the big box stores carry them by the hundreds and they're starting to be used a lot. I had two, but because of space issues gave the second one away. Mine is still in bud though.

Thats good to know Patsy, thanks. Well John adopted it and takes it in at the shop every night so the deer don't eat it, lol. I guess I'll get to bring it home this winter. He got so many compliments on it and the orchid he won't let me have take them home, lol. Do I remember the yellow one at the zoo? No, lol. It was more than last week but I bet we can get Kylie to fight off the wild animals so we can collect seeds next time. Lol.

They look so pretty. I'm impressed. I just stick the seeds in a coin envelope and scribble the name on them. You are really making me look bad!

Karyn I have pictures...but you ALWAYS have the right names of the seeds and plants :-)

Jill with this new computer I had to start from scratch. Looked online for seed packet instructions and went from there. Love putting a lil love along with the seeds that I share.

Dave now you are pushing me to the limits lol

Since the Dats are the hot items lol

Have 7 packets of the double yellow
3 packets of the triple frilly purple
1 packet of the triple yellow

left.

All other seeds I still got plenty :-)

Lucy; If you don't have a problem sending seeds internationally...I would love to try growing either your Triple or Double yellow Datura up here in the cold zone 6. Please don"t feel obliged. Thanks. Ross.

Lucy if you end up with any of your yellow and purple dats can you save me a few of each please? Mine didn't get pods, heck some didn't even bloom this year! If you have already promised all of them it's not a big deal.
