Hi Mike, appreciate it! You're lucky that you get 2-3 blooms on your Meyer lemon...mine only bloomed once last year and that year Deer ate 80% of my tree, then I had aphids and I sprayed the tree with some Hort. oil and all the blooms fell off,lol...not a good year for my Meyer last year :o(... Could also be because its a young tree, just planted it about 3 years ago, between the Deer eating all the leaves last year and CLM and other pest I'm thrilled its blooming pretty good now :o) Hoping for at least a couple of blooms this season...Some actual fruits sure would be nice!!

Other complications: ~8 feet tall -Grown for years (fruiting) in a 25 gallon pot -Transplanted this spring, after first flush -Transplanted bare root (a few hours out, roots in damp sawdust) -Trimmed much of the new flush off when de-potted to reduce water needs after transplanting. -Been very hot. -Shade in morning for first month or so, then those trees removed several weeks ago. It has been watered and gently fertilized. It was so far into other plants for those other years that I simply never noticed (or remembered) whether it had later flushes in the summer.

You are doing everything right! All plants are happy to get a bit of fertilizer, organic or otherwise. In my (only in pots)experience, some do get a second flush of smaller leaves after the first eyes unfurl, and some just put up those initial leaves, then flower and don't make any more new leaves. On some, I might get a few smaller eyes emerge, but no bigger leaves. BUT I am getting roots growing out of the bottoms of some pots so I know they aren't just sitting there. -Babka
