Well, went to Wally World to pick up a few things, and decided to take a turn in the plant section. They are getting ready for winter, so I wanted to see if there was anything (pots) on discount that I wanted. Nope. So I walked through the plants, because that is what I do in any store with plants, and I looked over at their succulent/cactus rack... and went '...wow...' because I found this sitting on the front row...

He is looking a little rough, but I can take care of that. There are five little cuttings in the pot, for $4. Beats getting one on ebay, for sure.

Nice variegated oblique Jade cuttings!
I think I see some pink highlights, so it could be the variant called 'tricolor.'

The tag on the side of the pot said 'tricolor'. I take it there are more than one kind of variegated jade then. I only heard about them recently, on the forum. I didn't think I would find them in a Walmart though.

I thought basketball or a plant in a round pot (two wire baskets with the linings attached together) Any trailing vine would look great. And maybe some stand up flowers in the top of it. Maybe a saucer for bird feed. Good find.

I have Moonlight Magic. It's nothing to write home about. Neptune is a far better mauve on all counts, especially vigor and fragrance. But good luck. She will probably appreciate the shade. I had to go look up Golden Bouquet - that's one I'd never heard of before. A commenter over on HMF whose opinion I trust says it's a Harkness Rose, Princess Alice, renamed. That sounds very interesting, but you have English (read: likes cool) breeding there, so careful with the hot Texas sun. Kathy

Marylee, he is pretty neat, huh? I know I got her a big one last year too, but can't quite remember what he looked like--but I know she loved it! Punk, I just had to look to see when Mother's Day is! I usually get a little something for my DIL since she's the mother of my special little joy of a granddaughter--so I need to go shopping too! Jeanne and Candy, you two are so funny with all your "poultry puns". Love it! LOL Nana, no problem, I do that sometimes too. Jane and Kathleen, I can hardly wait to give him to her. She is such a good neighbor, so kind to my DH and always keeps candy on hand for when he comes over--she's deserves a really neat surprise! And yes, I'm glad he's the "silent type" and won't wake her! LOL Frou, what a sweet thing to say. I sure know I am truly blessed with such good neighbors, they have all given such great support to DH and me these last several months while we've dealt with adjusting to DH's diagnosis. I have the rooster hidden away in my shed behind a panel of wood--let's just hope I remember that in October! LOL Luvs

Needed to go to my Dollar Tree this morning for a birthday card, so I looked around for this body lotion. Found it...white and blue tube..."soft vanilla cream scent"...and bought it. It's very good! I like it! Thank you, Glenda. Carol

Excellent, then I think it's safe to call it Crassula ovata var. obliqua f. variegata 'Tricolor'....a mouthful! ;-)

There is a white and green version (more common) that doesn't have the pink tendency.
And there is also a version that has gold tones called 'Solana.' Check the link below!

Huh, I thought at first glance it was an Adromischus... Can you post a pic from the side? I can't figure out the leaf shape with all those odd angles.

I will be putting them in a proper gritty soon, and a nice bright light, much better than the second rack of a Walmart succulent sales display.

very nice variegated Jade but I dont see how it is a tri color. The pink comes from being in nice bright light. I have the exact same plant and it is green and white in winter indoors and in summer out in the bright sun it is green, white and pink...like it is right now.

I thought the tri color was the one with the green and cream/yellow leaves AND leaves that are all cream/yellow color. I have that one also.
