I looked but could not see anything! I guess I need to dust???

:( Maybe a caterpillar? If you have sevin it would probably be a good idea to dust.

I had all of my plants on a back porch, with plastic going all the way around to keep it from freezimg for the last few weeks. I finally got the greenhouse done and moved everything into it. Almost everything had chewed holes in it and most of my succulents were gone down to the roots! Rat poo everywhere! Hopefully, you just have a stray hungry snail!

ok, so i figured id go ahead and give anot so brief review of this thing got it fast. real fast. like 4 days, so that was pretty awesome. started putting it together in the garage on a friday(cant do that with a big one-HA!) and immediately considered returning it. the instructions didnt have any text. all pictures and numbers. huge PITA to get it going, but i perservered with the help of a few rfosty beverages. saturday, reinvigorated by decent weather, i move the semi assembled pieces to their final location. south side of the garage. 45 minutes later, i seriously considered picking it up over my head and throwing it across the yard. few beverages later(in case you havent noticed i measure everything in beer hours) its assembled and in place and still in one piece. im somewhat pleased with it. fast forward several days, im not so pleased. not because of it, but because of its location. crap for sun there. looking at alternate locations. im guessing i need at least 4-6 hours of sun? filtered sun ok? petunias are growing there now, so i presume thats enough sun... in summary im not displeased with this thing, but i wouldnt get another. in the end, for the same amount of money i could have a 6x8 HFGH, but as mentioned earlier, no realistic place to put it. it does have pretty good room considering, for new plants waiting to be planted, and maybe some cool season container crops like carrots, lettuce, etc. a little vent on top, sliding door. its not made for a 6ft tall 185lb man though. i do feel pretty buff when steeping into it, so maybe as an esteem booster i can recoup some of the cost. also, once again im convinced that the only thing China ever designed and built worth a crap was a big wall. the opinions of this poster do not reflect the opinions of anyone else. on earth. no matter what their affiliation. pics out later. thanks again guys for the advice, and info.

I can think of 2 companies that made clear spans with full ridge vents. One was Florian and the other Texas greenhouse. And both made curved roofs. The metal braces look like one of the two companies. These are very expensive because of being clearspan. No center poles for bracing. You can have the glass made at any glass shop. For the curves it will be a Lexan type panel. These were rarely made of glass but some better ones were. You used to be able to price it yourself at Florian just to get an estimate. Florian has a video on putting one together that might help. It would help to pre-label the parts before he takes it down. And draw youself a plan of how it goes back together. You may have to replace the rubber seal if it has one. Greenhouse companies come and go. But these two are been around for years. Look at the web site and it will give you ideas. And that is one of those gorgeous rainbow versions. At the Farmer's Market here we get it with stems that are bright pink, deep red, white and a lovely lemon yellow. I like to saute it and top it with field peas, couscous or quinoa, or chickpea curry or something like that (I'm a vegetarian) My husband likes his topped with vinegared turkey breast (grilled). I think I will probably be giving away a lot of anthurium plants in the future, LOL, they all seem to be taking.

The holes on my brugs comes from these little yellow flying bugs that look like ladybugs. I find them inside the blossomes and buds all the time. They became a (no if I only knew how to spell that nuiasance? word lol) SEE WHAT I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH MY SPELLING ALL!!! THE TIME ...heck those little pests at least die at one time or another. Oh wait...so will I roflmao

I still have slugs in the greenhouses and a few caterpillars that made it inside with the plants. I pretty much gave up on the slugs. I spread out some diatomaceous earth and hope for the best. If it's caterpillars you'll find piles of frass. I try hand picking them off. If all else fails I start stripping foliage. Right now I'm fighting an aphid infestation. They took hold while I was in the hospital because of dry conditions. Keeping the humidity up is one of the best ways of keeping sucking insects under control.

Put a few shallow pans of beer around that should attract the slugs and they will drown in the beer or use used coffee grounds and they will not craw over them snails and slugs donÂ´t like caffein

WELCOME Kenny. I just have to say Hi after I saw that you are in Berlin lol ..That is what my mom used to do also. Unfortunately my DH does not share his beer with the snails. So I have to resort in throwing leaves on the ground. They eat on THOSE first. I mean who wants to climb a mountain if they can get the same in the valley? lol

I just can't stand the bowls full of dead bloated slugs floating in beer. lol The coffee grounds sound doable though. I might try that. Thanks.

About 2 weeks after I brought some of the Brugs in I found several little green cats that had hitched a ride..smooshed those and I havn't found any more..LOL

Dorothy I am sorry something is snacking on your plants. The bud looks like it was from a bug to me..that looks like the damage I had on mine from cucumber beetles.
I can't believe how the iochroma is cut right off like that! That def looks like the work of something bigger than a bug.
Has anything been knocked over? I would check for little holes dug around the base of the GH..maybe a chipmunk or squirrel? Or maybe even like patecake said, a rat?

I had 2 slugs inside so far. First one was with some brugs in my bedroom bathtub, found him pretty quick..but the second one was hiding in one of the Majesty Palm pots. My 4 yr old's stuffed animal fell onto the pot. When DH picked it up the next day it had a slug on it's head, lol. I just thought it was so funny..but I was the only one. I fed it to the Koi.

I had tried the coffee grounds..slugs here couldn't have cared less about walking over it, or sand, or copper, or anything else..nothing I tried worked until I started using poison pellets.

Lucy, that sounds like cucumber beetles.

LOL Lucy I donÂ´t use the good beer for the slugs either, I buy the cheap stuff for the slugs and snails, and do a little dance in the mornings when I have a bowl full of slugs , My favorite is the salt shaker. There I play the wizard of Oz. I can just hear them screaming I am melting , but when I see what they do to my plants I have no problem with that .
I also use epson salt just sprinkle it around then I figure I have also a fertlizer.

Karyn if it gets bad enough you wonÂ´t think twice about the dead slugs in a bowl LOL you too will be doing a dance and singing na nanana I got you :-)

I'm sorry Kenny, I forgot to say hi and welcome!
lol, I did the same thing with the epsom salt. My kids think I am so mean, hehehe!! I even tried it on some leeches from in the ponds, it's even more fun to do to them..their skin actually starts to rip away, or like, deteriorate right in front of your eyes. I make little high pitched screaming noises for them, lol.
hmmm..ok, now that I look at that typed out..maybe I am sick in the head...maybe...

LOL I make the screaming noise too LOL , No you are not sick in the head . when I see what they do to my plants over night I give them a litte extra salt . and the copper didnÂ´t work either that just busted my bubble I was planning to do raised beds trimmed in copper, but if that does not work I donÂ´t need spend the money copper.

Thanks everybody for your input. I don't think in slugs. The iochroma was on a shelf 5 ft off the the ground and done of the leaves were eaten just cut.
Anyway I had to go and buy sevin dust today help that helps.

Well I do not thinks its a bug! or a Cut warm!!!
Look at what I Found this morning!!! My datura!I wanted to cry!!!
What ever it was also eat the seed pods right off the plant and The ones drying on the table!!!
I have dusted everything in the GH and put out RAT poisin.
My DH fixed a better door for me today.

Just went out to the GH. All is well this morning. The poisin wasn't touched. But the plants looked ok so what ever was getting in maybe we stopped it. I sure hope so anyway.

Hey was going to email you...I can not fine one seed left NOT ONE... :( I need to move the table and look under it...Maybe I will fine a couple.
