Brighten a room and clean the air with a houseplant that cascades artfully, stretches toward the ceiling or looks great on a wall
Full StoryI just read Caroline's delightful impressions about "swing or rocker". The choices here in New England seem to be "sled or saucer". It may be a few years since some of us have ridden on either one. At this point I'm not even sure if I could pretzel-ize myself long enough to sit on a saucer. I'd be afraid that if I fell off on the way down the hill, I'd just roll helplessly into a big snowball like Bullwinkle.
Anyway, we all had sleds and toboggans, but saucers were the preferred method of sliding in my neighborhood. I think it was the added element of surprise in the ride, never knowing when you might suddenly be flying down the hill backwards or sideways.
Did you do any sliding as a kid? Is this one of those things that kids hardly ever do any more like playing a "pick-up" softball game?
