How to keep succulents alive in winder. Greenhouse?

I have a few succlents (Sempervivums, Echeverias, Pachyverias, Calico Kittens, Sedum Burritos) and my mother absolutely refuses to let me take them inside for the winter. She says that they will bring in bugs! But leaving them outside in the winter will surely kill my plants :(

I have to keep them outside all winter according to her. Any advice? Lowes has some mini greenhouses that look like bookcase racks covered in plastic

^^^But these look difficult for succulents. How would the plants receive fresh carbon dioxide if they whole thing is covered in plastic? How will it let humidity out while trapping in the heat?

I'm at a loss here. I want to keep my plants safe from frost while still letting them have plenty of sun and air. I live in Missouri USA where the winters get snowy sometimes and the average low in winter is 26 degrees F.

Even during the daytime, if the temperature is below 45 degrees, I wont be able to keep my plants in the sun. It will be too cold!

And If I keep them in the garage, there wont be any sun! And there's not guarantee that my garage will stay above 45 degrees during the coldest times.

Please help!!! Any advice is welcome!
