Thanks for the heads up Tom. I checked our local (Queensbury) Lowes and they didn't have any. So I took a ride to Halfmoon. Two trips later I came back with a 1Gal Variegated Pink Lemon and a 5Gal Persian Lime. I also checked the Colonie store while I was at it and saw they had several varieties (even grapefruit), however the leaves were dry and dropping on most of the trees. Thanks Another Tom

Lycopodium and several showy wildflowers are protected under our state law, but not because they are threatened or endangered. Rather, many years in the past, they were considered at risk of being overcollected from public land for commercial sale, and a concerned group worked to get some protection in place. On private land one may pick/collect/dig/whatever with written permission of the landowner. I guess I'm fortunate to see it often where I work and in several places I hike. I hadn't thought of it as rare. I do have to smile, though, when students and chaperones on field trips think lycopodium is a bunch of baby pine trees.

There's a place in Lake Wales (appx. 10-15) miles from Winter Haven called McGill Citrus Nursery...google them and call ahead to make sure they have the Citrus you are looking for. I purchased a very healthy Dancy tangerine from them several months ago... I've never been but there's one in Winter Haven called Rasnake Citrus Nursery And Hickory Hills Citrus Nursery in Lake Wales...call them before hand to make sure they are still around :o) Oh one more thing if you drive south of Winter Haven to Sebring ( less than an hour) one way there are a couple of nice nurseries that sell Fruit and Citrus trees...Robbins Nursery and Lords Farm Nursery...
