Colby, normally after repotting w/heavier soils, it's stated not to feed from, of what I read, 1-3 months..But in our case, I'd go for it. Since your soil is really well draining there shouldn't be any problems.

Colby, I normally wait to see a bit of new growth after repotting before fertilizing. Repotting = stress, Fertilizer = stress. By waiting to see new growth, you minimize the stress. At least I do.

I would let your plants establish themselves in their new environment before fertilizing. You may burn newly-exposed tender roots. Let the tree show some new growth first. Only use slow release fertilizer if you insist on adding something. But water well and wait for the tree to tell you it's hungry.

If you didn't add any nutrients at all to your potting mix I'd wait about a week or so after repotting then give it about half of a normal feeding. A month later fertilize as per usual.

Hey Mike, How does a citrus tree tell you that it's hungry? I have a little Meyer Lemon that I transpalnted into about a 20 in terra cota pot about a month ago and not only is it blooming profusly all of a sudden but it's little leaves are turning yellow and I want to know if this is how it tells me that it's hungry. I would say that now is the time to fertilize. Start with 1/4 to 1/2 strength liquid fertilizer every two weeks. You may also add a little slow release fertilizer like Osmocote. This time of year in my area, temps are extremely high. I am noticing new flushes of growth and some "heat-wilting" of the tender shoots. After the sun goes down and temps cool a bit (in Louisiana, any temp below 85 is a cold spell), the shoots straighten up again. Adjust your watering according. You can also add a little iron at this time, but new shoots tend to be more light green in the summer heat and should green-up in a few weeks.
Don't feel the need to over-overfertilize. This may lead to salt build-up in the container and cause more harm than good. Allow the top two inches to dry before watering again.

I see no harm in fertilizing with a fertilizer that i slow in Nitrogen and Phosphorus,when repotting.I was a horticultur student for three years as well as having maintained a diverse collection of many plants,though admittedly,I have more to learn about citrus.The last number in a series of 3 on a fertilzer label is for Potassium.NPK is equated to those three numbers or Nitrogen(foliage)first number,Phosphorus(flowering)2nd number,and finally the last number is the Potassium,which is best for root growth.A boost to the roots during a transplant is a good idea,but you don't want to use a product high in Nitrogen or Phosphorus,as the tree needs to recover the root structure first,in order to support new growth.For organice gardners,dried or baked banana peel,that is crumbled and mixed into the soil,is a safe source of Potassium for the new plant.I did not read the labels on the bone meal I used during my myers lemons' repotting and added some in the pots.This is a product that is gentle and not a cause for alrm,but is highest in Phosphorus and not what I would have added,had I known better.My trees suffered no ill harm and are flowering now,about a month after the repotting.I also threw a sprinkling of HOLLYTONE fertilizer on the soil's surface and waited a few days to water in.This seemed to get the trees off to a good start.In short,soem things we don't need to micro-manage and really won't make the difference between success or failure,so it is left up to you what you prefer.Stress less and have more fun,I try say,when it comes to hobbies.You won't kill your trees if you want to toss in a gentle fertilizer,when you repot.

Sorry but i need to correct what you said about the npk above.
Nitrogen is the growth promoter and along with magnesium helps
produce chlorophyll(spelt wrong),Phospherous promotes root
growth and potassium promotes flowering,chlorophyll and
overall plant health.Phosphorous tends to store in the soil
and doesnt leach like the other two.Citrus in particular need
high nitrogen but try to avoid urea,if you must use it,it
has to have a biuret lower than 0.4 %
An npk of 5/1/3 plus trace elements is the ideal feed as
citrus always take food from the soil at this ratio.You should try to get as close to this ratio as possible.The trace elements govern the quality of the fruit.Cheers

When I repot miracle gro or peter soulable fertilizer is used half strength along with a small amount of osmocote plus a dilute solution of epson salts.
The plant seem to love it.
