i missed out on being in the secret santa game . did anyone else miss out? looks like it was allot of fun .

let me know if you missed out . i could mail a package from another addy and you could pretend to not know where it came from .

Beautiful Amaryllis, mine got too tall this year also. Brrrrrrrrrr is right! Here in San Antonio we are expecting the coldest weather in 40 years. We might not get above freezing on Friday! Many of the plants I brought in a few weeks ago are sprouting new leaves. The first hard freeze snuck up on us and I accidentally left the Duranta out and thought it was dead, but now it's sprouting new leaves. Even one small Brug cutting that got left out is now sprouting from the bottom even though the top is shriveled. We'll be moving the Christmas lights over to the plants that are too big to bring in.

Thanks for the well wishes guys, I think the test went OK, in my earlier rant I left out the weird dreams I had last night about the test, my daughter got a big kick out of them. As for my daughters eye it was just as we thought. I think she is some sort freak of nature (she would actually like being called that) Both of my girls had chicken pox twice. Now my 15 year actually has herpes simplex in her eye. Since she got it in middle school we have always called it chicken pox since it is the same virus and you know how middle schoolers can be, I don't know that high schoolers are much different. Tomorrow I get to go talk to the school cause she has to use eye drops every 2 hours. And with their no tolerance for drugs she can't carry her eye drops with out getting in trouble, we have already been in trouble once for tylenol so a second offense no matter how benign it is will get her suspended. They also put her back on her acyclovir last time she took it for a year. Last New Years Day was the last time she took any meds. We caught it much earlier this time so hopefully she won't have to take the meds as long. She wasn't as upset this time last time she cried for hours, the doctor we went to immediately started talking about a cornea transplant. We have since switched doctors, one that actually talks to her before he talks to me and even remembered what instrument she plays in the band, and every time I see him at the hospital he ask about her. Willie has an excellent point Barb. I always wear latex gloves in the garden, except when I don't, and when I don't I have problems. I just wash my hands,(gloves included while I have them on), then turn them inside out and use the other side. Of course that's my choice, cos I'm so cheap, you may want to do it differently. I've been having lots of fun watching the starlings who have a nest in the tree right off my deck. They are wonderful mimics. One sits there and does a perfect robin. I thought I WAS hearing a robin till I really started watching him closely. He has such a wide range of sounds! Also went to the post office today and there is a nest with big fat baby robins outside the front door. They are so darn cute.

oh Eddie so sorry you missed out on the fun. That is still going on cause I have not send mine out yet. Pushing it to the deadline of the 15th. I know you would have enjoyed the wonderful gifts our SS buddies have put together. And I KNOW who ever YOUR SS buddy would have been....Oh I really do not have to say it, do I lol.
Maybe for next year we can have a please remind this GW buddy that it is sign up time..list.

I missed out too because I thought I was going to have to spend a lot of money on a car repair but it wasn't a biggie. I definately plan to get in on it next year. It is even fun to read the posts about what everyone else got. I like being around here because noone thinks I am wierd for getting excited over a box of sticks, you are all the same way, lol.
BTW Eddie.... the cutting I owe you has been moved into soil so it should be ready shortly.

We had 33 people this yr and quite a few more who have expressed interest in next yr.s SS..I hope to see it continue to grow.. It is so fun and really brings this group closer .. It is really nice to have so many new people who actually stay around too...LOL

I missed out on the fun too. However, I think I would be too stressed putting together a good package that I don't know that I will join in next year either. ha ha. It has been great fun reading everyones post about the SS packages though.
