OT: POTD: Amaryllis Santos

Good morning everyone.

I hope that there will not be very many coming here tomorrow.

Now you say: WHY is Lucy saying that.

Because I want you to have a wonderful time with SOMEONE you love or like to spend time with.

Loving to spend time HERE...I will miss you all the next few days....but with the youngest daughter coming home this morning....and taking over HER ROOM...computer is in here lol....I will not be sneaking in here.

But you all will be in my thoughts when I say at the table for what I am thankful for.

Beautiful Lucy! That's what I need. Have to go shopping.
Going To get me an Amaryllis. Maybe it will bloom by Christmas.

Good morning all. Lucy, I have some time to be here with my Brug family, and am not taking time away from loved ones. My family and friends don't get up at 4/5 AM, but are all late-risers, LOL! Beautiful amaryllis, thank you.

Susan those are beautiful! How great to share that love with so many of my friends! good morning Pat lol Karyn I am not sure...let me count them. I had bought a few at the last Co-Op Ryan co hosted at Dave's. ha ha ha so is DH bringing them home with a tractor trailer? lol My heart almost broke when I saw that the sticks to hold the stems...were poked right into the bulb from you :-( But I am not sure if you saw it...it had a BABY bulb and it is growing !!! :-) Lucy

Good morning Lucy. No hangover here! But sure have a headache! Was planning on a quit night at home. Setting outside by the fire with DH. Ending up spending the night in the ER with HB having chest pain. Said they thought it was form stress but wanted him to stay. But the hard head checked himself out! He is going to follow up with his heart Dr. Anyway, hope your new years eve was better. Keep me and him in your prayers. I sure hope the worst is over and we have a better year ahead. Mom should be coming home this week. Thanks for the prayers. She is doing so much better. Up walking around, eating and all. Still needs a little walk on the stairs. But getting there. Oh sorry I forgot to answer that about the other plant...It is this huge shrub that is covered with these little trumpet like flowers. It is 20 years or older and I have NO idea what the name is. Kylie ...hicks...where were you...hicks...I had to drink it all by myself...hicks Lucy

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Very beautiful lady there. Try for the seeds. I've just started planting amaryllis seeds this year. Germination rate has been excellent with fresh seeds. I have even managed to germinate some old seeds. The link has another link in the bottom portion of the text. I used the info on sowing and germinating the seeds to get started. (Don't know why I'm giving you this info. You probably know how to do all of this anyway. Maybe someone else looking at your photo will want the info.) Well i'm back. I got myself an Amaryllis this moring "Christmas Story" a new one to me.
Hey Susan the lowes in Rincon has the "Susan"

Its beautiful Lucy. My Lima is on its second bloom. Will go snap a pic before I leave. It will probably be dead by the time I get back. The bloom that is. Have a great time with all the kids. I will be happy to see my family and get to see my grandson too. Hugs

Nice. I just got the weekly email from one of our local garden centers and they pictured a really dark red, almost maroon (can't remember the name right now but still have the email) that I just may have to gift myself.

...and, of course, have a great holiday everyone.

Amarillis---- I used to get a potted blooming one every Christmas from somebody, for several years.
I guess that person finally realized that I wasn't doing anything with them, after they finished blooming. That's when I had other interests, - not gardening.
What I would give today, to have them all back! They were beautiful!
On second thought, -- yet some more pots on the patio?? I don't think so!!
