Toady Agave Advised To Toe The Loin

Two weeks ago, under cloudy skies

{{gwi:621160}}

Today, under the steady, heady rays of full El Sol

{{gwi:79543}}

Anyone know what he / she is? About 1.5" / 3.8 cm long, wettish-looking and hops. I've run into them before but never had a camera.

    What a cutey, and such a nice green in either light. I've been looking forward to seeing summer plant pics...and cat pics.

    It looks comfortable if you are frog shaped.

    tj,

    Thank you for the ID - Pseudacris maculata it is.

    Colleen,

    My secondary camera will be employed tomorrow to get some kitties in cute poses-pictures, just for you. Did I tell you I have two Aloes going into flower for the first time?

    Mara,

    Yup.

    That leaf has to be s softer perch than the hard hot rock, or cold rock, it being Canada and not Texas..

    Gosh,

    His camouflage is so good I missed the frog completely in the 2nd shot, busy looking at the Agave of course, if not for that stripe under his eye, you really don't see him (even tho' the colors aren't the same, which fascinates me). He looks so completely at home, looks like a nice life.

    Nice Agaves too, I enjoyed CJordi's straightening you out on on that recent Agave ID ;>)

    Cute! I love tree frogs, and yes I also agree it is Pseudoacris maculata.

    Good thing that's just a frog. He's good at hiding. Did you ever get an id for your agave? I know its difficult when they are young.

    Chad,

    It's been said that it's a Pseudacris maculata (thanks tj and breton!. As to the Agave, the learned minds have convened and stated it's Agave 'Kissho kan'. Two of them are getting shipped out today / tomorrow and I'm pleased that I can share some Agave love.
