Spotlights and night blooming plants

zigzag

Next year I want to put up a trellis or two against a blank house wall in my backyard. I'm intrigued w/the Moonflower (an annual in the Morning Glory family) for night interest/show - and am thinking about combining it w/a perennial clematis or something like that for daytime and longevity. The wall is a protected southwest exposure. Am still in the thinking stage and tend to favor perennials over annuals in general.

Question is - that wall is 'washed' with a floodlight mounted up on the house eave which I usually have on most nights until 11pm or midnight. Will the floodlight inhibit the blooming process of the Moonflower?
