Doubles in south

Now that we are finally home I've decided to treat myself to some new brugs. (The roofers set our house on fire in May doing Hurricane Ike repairs, then they ran off and haven't been seen since!) Since I'm on the Gulf Coast it's hot and humid so I wanted some input from ya'll.

What doubles/triples besides double white have performed and bloomed well for those of you that are subtropical/tropical?

I know a lot of doubles don't like the heat and humidity and perform poorly. These will be growing outside year round, we are subtropical, rare freezes, hot and humid most of the time. It's supposed to be 85 on Wednesday. VERY alkaline "soil", it's really sand but I like to pretend we have soil, alkaline tap water. I've got a lot of single brugs and double white which all do great.

Thanks tons!

Tally HO!
