Thanks Keith. I don't keep up with age too much. Mostly how long I've worked on something. It might be a seedling from a batch started spring 2009.

Hi Randy, do you remove the tap root of all your adeniums and what does removing it achieve? Do you have any more tips for beautiful majestic adeniums like you have? I will not be fertilizing till spring and am holding back on watering :P. Any tips for the lovely twisty roots in re potting adenium? Or do you just have to wait and see?

I only prune the tap root on the seedlings I plan to train. Removing the tap is merely part of the routine. If you don't then encourage growth out instead of down, you defeat the purpose of tap root removal which is growing in a shallow container.

I don't understand the question about the lovely twisty roots.

What is the best container type to get them to fatten up?

a read deep container, or wide and shallow like a bulb pot (azeala (sp?) pot?

I only train roots to grow out. Twisting is something they do, some more than others. Shallow wide containers are best for getting wide growth in Adenium. Things like azalea pots or bulb pans.
