Minneola Tangelo Tree Questions.
Comments (10)I know, Steve :-) Yes, we're all freezing our collective fannies off out here. It is currently 41 degrees and it's 7:30 pm. So, again, we'll be very close to freezing tonight. Fortunately for us here in the S. California San Diego coastal area, our forecast was just revised due to a more persistent cloud cover over the next 3 or 4 days, so that brings our lows up to the low 40's/high 30's, now. So, hoping we dodge the freeze bullet here. Understand, I stand outside my front door and have a view of the ocean, so this is very, very unusual for us. Just to give you an idea - when I was growing up in Orange County, much more inland and north than my current location, I can remember ONE day where we actually had freezing temps and a little snow in Fullerton. I think we made the national news. Over my lifetime, temps have persistently become colder and colder during the winter months (and it's not even winter, yet). Comments (27)Still very sick. She does not have any energy at all to even talk today. She seemed fine yesterday but today she can not seem to eat anything. I don't like seeing her in that state. It upsets me..My father whom just got into the Nursing Home because he's loosing his mind wants to keep seeing her but I can't be taking him out so often. I can just do my best. I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers..If I seem a bit weird or sensitive lately it's not you guys, it's me...But I still need to come here to lift myself up seeing you all posting things I want and things I like to see))...See MoreQuestion about Minneola Tangelo
Comments (28)Good morning Amy and yes I slept horrible and the wall in my bedroom needs new drywall lol :) Amy this is a new Greenhouse we had built last yr and it sits on a wooden frame, well it was finished just 1 day before a major frost so we never had time to insulate the wood base on the inside of the GH because of all the plants in the way . It's a one shot deal once it's up its over and it's easy to do . Amy you should have seen the ice on the inside wood last winter and inches away from my pots . I almost lost my Meyer do to this . Here is a pic of the wood not the best pic taken in the spring Sunshine lol I am now out of space to well I think lol. Comments (6)Halyna, the only true blooming tree I have right now is the Meyer but it's in another area. Somebody said that it would work as a pollinator. The branch on the variegated minneola that is blooming is not strong enough to hold fruit this year. I am just thrilled to have blossoms that smell good. I have another regular minneola near my Meyer and it's forming buds too. Just wondering if the Meyer will still be actively blooming when the minneola's flowers open. I will have to make note of that so I can coordinate pollinating better next year when the tree is stronger....See Morekylew
