Hi Chica, I'm curious to know if you have any ideas as to what may have caused your previous lack of success with ''Oddity"? Are you finding it not winter hardy? vermin? or something else? I had several Semps in my clutch recently and put ''Oddity'' back on the shelf, anticipating going back if I found enough garden space, which I have. Thanks. Dan

eeek! run away!! I have been pulling these suckers out of plants for about 30 years now. A "friend" brought me one leaf with babies. I've had them sprout in my SHOES! while they were on the front porch, in the gutters, cracks in the sidewalk, in trees, every plant I own, on the scaffolding in the front yard last year..... There are about a million of them in the sand across from Jack in the Box up on Seawall. They are very spectacular when they bloom several times a year. The bigs ones were all killed to the roots by last years freeze but they are BACK! Tally HO!

interior yellowing.. is normal.. a process of the shedding of interior needles.. no conifer holds its needles forever ... and increased significantly by drought/stress... in any of the years any given needle is on the plant.... to support that.. we would find no needles before them.. as they fell of last year ... and i surely cant figure any of that out on your pix ... the second being the best for such.. but out of focus ... a tree with significant yellow.. are rarely as vigorous as this giant .. all that said.. a year or two of observation ... should tell you what is NORMAL.. with this particular tree ... its rather cool if it is what it appears to be ... how did everyone miss this thing for the decades its supposedly been doing this... i mean really.;.. thats a giant telephone pole standing there ... in the mean time.. you might get someone to try a few grafts ken

A photo would be great but what it sounds like to me is that some of the seeds have germinated inside the tomato, which sometimes happens, and they are seen as white threads, if you will. I wish I'd taken the time to search for a recent thread here where someone found the same thing and posted a picture. Usually it happens most with soft fleshed varieties such as the gold/red bicolors, as well as lots of times from shipped in grocery store fruits that have been held in storage for quite a while. Just a suggestion as to what those white threads might be, Carolyn
