I love your post. I live in a small town in Nebraska and started taking over a flower bed in a park that was mowed down twice a year. I started pulling weeds and putting flags by plants I didn't want the city guys to destroy. Now it's a real flower bed again. You're right, it takes time. I have seeds you can have. Dowling Garden Plant Sale, May 10th Mark your calendars. On May 10th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dowling Community Garden holds its annual plant sale. Our growers have hunted through countless catalogues and online offerings from seed companies to provide you with an astonishing array of heirloom and hybrid tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, and lovely old-fashioned annual and perennial flowers. Expect to find over 200 varieties of vegetables, flowers, and herbs. Go early for the best selection. The sale will be held in the historic Dowling Community Garden at 39th Street and 46th Avenue South in South Minneapolis. This is one of the oldest Victory Gardens in the country. Soil Trotters Garden Club of Clayton's FIRST ever plant sale/fundraiser! Come on out to the Clayton Community Garden to check out our wonderful plants at a great price. We will have all sorts perennials and seed starters ranging from Hostas, Roses, Cannas, Baptisia, Mexican petunia, Veggie starters including tomatoes, Blueberry bushes, Butterfly bushes, Irises, tropical fruit trees, PAW PAW trees, etc. Raffle for a Japanese Maple. There should also be a live band out playing around 12:30 and a Kids lemonade stand.
