Meant to add that she seems to be getting lighter compared to her sister whos on the left.
Sorry for the quality of the 2nd pic..My arm is just a wee bit stubby...lmao

I like the way the edge of the skirt curls back on itself. The color is similar to a NOID seedling that bloomed for me last summer. Come to think of it I haven't seen it this year. What kind of scent does it have, spicy, sweet, fruity......?

For Kristi et al... Well, here is my Ada's Flower..she had no roots and kept toppling over so reluctantly I had to pick the scape..there is another scape on the way..4 flowers to each scape, but I doubt if the second will open..very stressed bulb, has shrunken from the size of a golf ball to the size of a walnut! But....she is a beauty..covered with freckles, my color is definitely not red, but a brick/orangy red and the weaker flowers have a brick/pinky look to them. I suspect that if she can grow roots that another time she will be a stunner! and when she fell over for the second time I picker her... As with so many of these Maguires, there is a very broad picotee which I just love, and the dotting on this is very even and well, I think she is beautiful. My Tammy Tucker bloomed also and she is exactly the same as Ada's Flower, but a raspberry pink..same situation with the bulb, but I love this one also..take a look.. her picotee is a bit narrower.. Hi Beverly, To answer your Q?, I did go to Darby Creek Nursery,me and my friends went there after the swap. But they didn't have a good sale like they did last fall.We left there almost empty handed.But we had stopped at Shroders off of 71 on our way to the swap and before we got to the swap. They have some really good sales on their plants.That's where we bought most of our plants that day. On our way home we stopped at Seely's. I ended up buying 4 Hostas and Jacquie and her sister Bobbi bought 4 or 5. And we were loaded for bear.LOL I was in so much pain I couldn't hardly stand it. But It was fun.I couldn't unload my car and lucky for me I have some very able friends who don't mind helping or doing for me.Oh!! If I only Had My Legs Back!!! What's this Beverly about you having a Hosta Sale on the 30th? Did you sell them for a business or are they your own??Diane had emailed me with the info and date, But I didn't get the message till after the day of your sale. Sorry I missed it. Good evening, everyone! BJ, I have to ask: does your boss chase you around the desk? LOL Raeanne, welcome back to reality! I overheard a woman at Curves this morning talk about how she's dropped a clothes size since using the Wii Fitness stuff. Keep up the good work! QOD: I just roll out of the bed in the mornings and dress for working out. I don't let myself think otherwise! (There are some exceptions to going straight to Curves though.) I know that it's the best way for me to lose weight and sizes. I had a dr.'s appt. this morning (first thing) to go over my lab results. My numbers weren't too terribly bad after all, but I have a ways to go yet. My dr. was very pleased that I'm doing Curves and TOPS though, so he didn't fuss about my weight today. He's really supportive which is so nice. BJ, I always wear some kind of red hat to the get-togethers. I have a red straw hat and purse, a red felt cowgirl hat, a dressy felt hat, a baseball cap with a Red Hat woman sewn on it, and a sun visor with whatever I think of to put on it. We have to wear some kind of hat to the events, but I can't wait to take them off because I just don't like wearing them! But, I do enjoy mixing and mingling with the members, so it's worth it. My 2 DGDs are coming over Saturday morning for the weekend. They haven't been here since Christmas, and they want to see their Papa and Lucky (doggy). We'll drive them home Sunday afternoon and do some "big-city" shopping while over there. One quick brag: I weighed in 8.7 pounds less at my TOPS meeting on Wednesday. That's two weeks worth of weight loss, but I was so shocked and happy. I'm also back to cooking and eating healthy, so I guess it's working. I'm working on Patti's birthday card this evening. It's so much fun doing it! Wishing everyone a good Friday!

Hi all! Another MIA checking inÂand hoping that everyone is doing great! I havenÂt been here since my FIL died in late June, as I came down with a "C Diff" infection the night after his funeral. Rog found me unconscious on the bathroom floor and took me to the ER, and I really donÂt remember anything about that night or July 4th. I was in for 3 days, and was deathly sick for the next 2 weeks. (I did lose 23 pounds during this time, thoughÂnasty way to do it!) IÂm OK at this point, but everyoneÂseriouslyÂthe CDC in Atlanta has issued warnings that this could be an epidemic, and the mortality rate has doubled. Since I donÂt want to squick anyone out, please do a google on "C Diff", and remember to wash your hands, and this is very contagious. The next thing that has went on with me is that not only was I praying for Demerol or death while I was in the hospital, I have found that I am a diabetic. Great. Just screaming great. My sugar level was 453 when I went to the ER. (OKÂwellÂI was on prednisone during this time b/c I ended up in the ER the night FIL died with a horrible rash all over my behind and legs, and come to find out it was a reaction that I had to a spider bite a week prior. I was diagnosed with Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP) which normally occurs in young boys (yes, I laugh at f@rt jokes, maybe this is payback!) and steroids are the usual treatment for it. It can be serious, and lead to kidney problems, but the chances are small.) So, between the stress (GAD!), the steroids, the ridiculously bad eating habits IÂve developed, IÂm not surprised that my sugar was that high. I didnÂt have any of the usual signs, i.e. excessive thrist, excessive urination, etcÂ but here I am. I am following drÂs orders, but man! I want some sweet iced tea!! AndÂI had to drop out of school for the time being. Which just frustrates me to no end, but whaddya do? When it rains, it pours! So, that it why I havenÂt been here, or anywhere else for that matter. Things are slowly getting back to normal, and things will be good once again. RaeanneÂwhat auction? I wish I was there, IÂd love to call it for you! SuzanneÂI love that pic! Hi crzmama,

I have a Pink Suns also - it does not look like yours. I can't find a pic in any gallery or family tree. The Pinksuns I have is a Suaveolens shape(nodding flower). Yours is a Versicolor(hanging). I had always thought that with a name like Pinksuns that there would be a hint of yellow in the flower, but mine has never been anything but pink. Is there anyone here who might know for sure?

BTW crzmama regardless of the name yours is beautiful, you've done a nice job raising her.

Hmm Jack..where did you acquire yours from? I got mine from Seed Sprout Nursery right before they closed..

Got mine in a trade, that is why I don't trade anymore. There are many generous well intentioned people here who do honest trades, but I've had 4 or 5 that were misnamed. I always wait until I get some flowers to verify that it is what it says it is. In the case of Pink Suns, like I said before - no pics in any gallery. I'm going to assume that yours is a valid Pink Suns, considering where you got it. Mine is now a NOID Pink. I do have to say though that yours looks an awful lot like Ecuador Pink.

The only pic that I was able to find was on the Seed Sprout site..but cant get to it anymore to compare..sure wished that I had saved the picture of it from their site..
If I remember reading correctly from their site..it was one of their crosses...

I don't have Pink Suns but remember Brenda described her as pink and yellow, and yes, I remember the photo and she was nodding.

That said, guess you would have to email Brenda Delph for a photo. sorry, that does not clarify a thing, really.

Charlotte, your brugmansia is so lovely- you must just love her!!! How is her scent?? Are the blossoms really large? They look like it in your photo! Congrats!

Considering the plant is close to 4ft tall the blooms are huge...Good thing I got that last picture of her flush..the tropical storm system that is coming through here has done a number on them..the wind was terrible..whipped the flowers to shreds and lost alot of leaves on the brugs that I do have...the scent was kinda spicy sweet..taking on more of a rose scent as the blooms got older...oh well..it was wonderful while it last..at least I wont have to knock off so many leaves when I bring them in..lol
I do have a bud on Frosty Pink..err I should say I did have one..dont know if its still there or not though lol..pouring rain and wind have kept me from checking ..hopefully it will still be there and maybe bloom for me before frost...
