please help me identify citrus variety

After sifting through piles of information on the subject, I am still at a loss....

I have been trying to figure out what variety lemons are growing on our 12ft approx 35yr. old tree.

The fruit looks rather unsightly, wrinkled and gnarled, round, not elongated fruit with a bump on the bottom, very similar to a kaffir lime, but yellow and without the split leaves. In size it is about average maybe a bit larger, compared to store-bought lemons. The skin is very thick and very fragrant, the fruit flesh has a crisp and juicy flavor yet isn't as acidic as a conventional lemon would be.

The branches are fairly thorny, and the leaves are very fragrant too.

Any ideas?
