has anyone got a name of a supplier of seed for the buddhas hand citrus?

does it germinate readily or is it fairly difficult to grow from seed?

It's EXTREMELY difficult to grow from seed, because it doesn't have any!
Budding, grafting or from cuttings is the only way to propagate this variety.

yeah keeping the water off for a bit or just a bit moist seems to encourage new growth and flowering in my navel and meyer lemon. they are small still and will be potted citrus there whole lives. still don't have any problem with them flowering and growing. i use an organic citrus fertilizer for them once or twice a month depending on the season. i keep them under lights for winter so no need to stop fertilizing. Hi Folk, we are located in Singapore near Thailand and Vietnam and basically we have almost all Citrus collection within Asia. And China keep on importing different type of rare spices and citrus fruits to us in different season of the year. The Buddha hand citrus has seeds and is very rare, when we meant seeds of Buddha hand, we meant the other genus from china not the grating 1. We have not much left in our store. I just so happen to have two young rooted plants. These were propagated by air layering, as this is the only way I have been able to propagate this plant. One plant is pretty heavy, I would say it would be for pick-up only. The other could be mailed. I live in AZ. Waht state do you live in? Some states do not allow citrus to be shipped in. BTW, I have never seen any seeds in the citrons that are formed by thit plant.

Haha, for drainage, of course! Beats the hell out of drilling holes. But seriously, my dad owns a junk yard, and folks are always dragging in things that are great for other purposes. I have five large industrial baskets he saved for me (cheaper than a clay pot). I lined them with landscaping paper to keep the contents inside. This is both lemons after watering I use a baster to suck all the excess water out of the bags. I'm working on welding trays to use as drip pans, but the weather and holidays have kept me inside these last few weeks. My trees seem to love them, they've flourished this past summer and I am curious to see how they do this winter. I've had a problem with WLD in the past, but so far I haven't lost a leaf and they've been inside since October.

www.briteleaf.com and www.harriscitrus.com sell BH..And they're grafted.
Forget logees. I once ordered a variegaetd lemon and what I got was a 2-3" lemon seedling. Never again. I learned my lesson.
Cowboyman sells better plants, but take their time in shipping..I've been waiting for 3 shipments of plants (NOT citrus) over 3 wks w/o an email from them. Plus their paying system isn't working right..when I write them they never return emails.. I don't know what they're doing, if they're busy or what, but they're sure taking their time..and it seems like they don't care about customers. I only wrote one letter so it's not like I'm pestering them. Toni

If buddah's hand has no seeds and can only be propagated by grafting, wouldn't it be safe to order one from Logees? Seems like you would have to get a grafted one vs seed sown?
Just wondering....logees is reasonably priced and I have had good luck with them as well but haven't ordered citrus there..
