ground covers that look good even after flowers wilt?

Hello,

My neighbor has tons of ice plants (Drosanthemum floribundum - rosea ice plant, I think) and they looked fantastic when flowers bloomed but after the flowers wilted they turned brown and look kinda ugly now.

I'm looking for some ground covers to plant around a ginkgo tree and hoping to find ones that wouldn't have the same problem. I've been considering aptenia cordifolia, sedum makinoi, sedum kimnachii or oscularia deltoides. Are they all right? If not, could you recommend some?

Thanks!
