I love everyone's pics. I'll have to dig thru Photobucket to find pics of everyone. Maybe I'll just get new pics tomorrow. That will probably be easier.

When I picked Kyle up from preschool his teacher called me aside to ask me a question. She said that the kids were discussing their pets in class and that Kyle started going on and on. She wanted to know if maybe he was a bit confused and was talking about stuffed animals. lol I assured her that they were all quite alive so she wants me to bring some in for show and tell. I'll bring some of the less common ones in. I'll take a couple chinchillas, the sugar gliders and the long haired bunny. I might bring a gecko if we do it soon enough. I don't want to take the geckos out if the temps are chilly. I'd love to take some of my other fur babies in because they have such great dispositions, especially Bailey but I think the uncommon pets will be more interesting. Besides that Bailey is pretty big and might scare some of the kids even though she is just about the sweetest dog in the world. She's a German Shepard/Doberman mix.

I am so owned I used my cat's name in my username cuz I'm Tommy's mommy for sure! Tommy's 12 and has just developed feline diabetes. We're in the discovery stages of what his insulin doses should be. I've just purchased a special glucose meter just for dogs and cats and had to take readings throughout the day for two days already to give the vet an idea how his blood sugars were running. I'm doing all his stuff at home because he turns into something wild and scary at the vet. He lets mommy do anything to him without a fuss.

Ahhh karyn, we are kindred spirits lol I love taking things to school to! The kids go nuts (not to mention the kid of honor is super kool for a bit) lol gecko huh what kind are they? My fav. is the leaf tail but the leopard is kool to and super bright. I use to have chinese water dragons, (Mig Mac & French Fry) they were fun but they got old on me and past. I also had a peach throated monitor,(Luscious) he was a thing of beauty! But I was young a dumb, and not a picture taking fanatic like I am today. But man,Â. was he mean. He had to go back to the pet store after a year, I couldnÂt calm him down for nothing. I would really like to own a bird some day one of the smart, live forever, colorful birds. I hope some one is taking pics when you take things to school. I wish I did my kids love it at the end of the year when they run a PowerPoint in the gym and they are always up there be it a big boa or a kitten. But this year it is a toss up, new kittens or my pretty afghan hound. Ah I read about sugar gliders I wanted one sososo bad but I couldnÂt find any around here. And chinchillas what color are they, they are like the softest thing ever! And super cute to boot.

Lucy lol hereÂs the story, Ill try to keep it short. I had a king, his name was King Joseph James (jo). He was a terrible Siamese kitty He hated everyone but me, I was devoted to him for 4 years. He was my world. But my world turned, when I found a spot of blood on the floor. I took him to 2 different vets till I could get an answer. After all the test and crap, I found out he had bladder cancer, and had only 3 more days to live, which I thought was nuts ! cuz he was fine, I just wanted to know why he had a little bit of blood at the time, But the vet said 3 days and gave me pain meds to keep him comfy and his home phone number (which I thought was really nice of him) and said he would open back up any time. So I put a cot on my sun porch and stayed with him for 3 days, just me and him I didnÂt cook, I didnÂt clean, I took a shower and back out I went.(my poor kids but really there poor dad ) My king died June 28th 2006 at 3pm. In my armsÂ... Huh that was hard .. SO a year went past, and I was so lonely I missed a kitty talk. So I bought Juno and then I bought Jerk for Juno to play with, Juno is my heart. Well no name would stick, but man that cat is a jerk, so there ya go lol jerk lolol! And all the JÂs except the dogs I am AvaÂs 4th home and her forever home she came with the name and Lainee is my old mans dog

hey Cassie, we had the common teddy bear hamsters and the geckos we had were Tokays. Those are not the type of geckos that you can handle. I had to wear leather gloves to clean their tank because they liked to bite the hand that feeds âºOur son just loved to watch them eat crickets.

Pam lol about your comment for the snake rofl. So Pam...the cats get along with the fish? lol We used to have a 55 gal. tank and I loved it. Until it burst and I had all the water and fish everywhere. I believe that was the end of having fish in the house lol Even though the kids were still with us ha ha ha Can you share pictures of your precious family members?

Cassie what a heartbreak to loose your fur baby so quickly. We all who have lost a loved family member know what you went through. Is your Jerk just an indoor cat? Cause can you imagine calling him outside? Especially with folks walking about! roflmao. Good thing you are not walking a dog amongst folks and calling him back. ha ha ha ha ha

Beautiful Kitties everyone! The dogs are pretty too, but I confess dogs frighten me abit these days. (we had an incident) I always had pets, but none right now, enjoying the meeting of all of your pets!

Frances when time is right and you feel it is right to have another pet..I am sure you will find just the right one.

I admit also that I am a cat lover. Been bitten by our own dog as a teenager once in the shoulder. He was a HUGE dog. I forgave him later on in life. We found out that he was hit by a car and had internal damage which ended his life. When a car he heard a car hunk, he freaked and bit me.

2nd time I was walking. Like I used to do in the mornings years ago lol. Right here. Dog came charging out and chased me. Bit me and since then I learned that you do not go walking without a stick or something.

But I am only afraid of the obviously dangerous dogs. Others I can hang out with. giving them some loving. But not permanently lol

Pets sense your fear Frances...so if you can not put it aside....EVERY dog will know that you are scared of them.

I have had many dogs, and loved them all, the best of my babies were German Sheppards... but one attacked me, and ravaged my sister very badly. She is recovered, but it was very scarey. We do not blame the animal. He was under a lot of stress, but personally, I cannot overcome the fear. they do sense it and it is not good.

I do miss 'Kittie' though and love sharing all your pets from a secure distance!

I do not own a pet anymore. When the kid moved out, and the dog died, it was time to move, and we haven't had any pets since, although we have been tempted. ... wives don't count, do they? LOL

.... and no, the chipmunks and squirrels are definitely NOT my pets, even though they run over my feet as I sit on the lower patio.

Frances that was a real bad experience. So glad that your sister recovered from it. You are right...if the fear is there...it is no good for you or the dog. But glad that you enjoy our fur babies :-)

John rofl...wiveS? How many do you have? ha ha ha Lots of outdoor animals I consider as part of my life...that bring me joy. That said...the squirrels are really getting on my bad side right now because they are harvesting the pecans before I can lol
