Just to be able to say good morning should be special to us.

Like seeing the sky on fire when the sun rises.

Very cool Lucy. I got some seeds for some kind of oriental green beans called yard long beans. A friend of John's gave me some and it looks like one could feed a family, lol. They were very good. Will grow some to eat next year. Planted John some cabbage and brocolli in a wading pool with holes poked in the bottom, lol. Closest thing I can manage to grow veggies right now with my allergies.

There's so little left growing outside around here. The trees are almost completely bare as well. karyn, This is why I'm concentrating on putting in lots of broad-leaved evergreens on my property. My Chinese Evergreen oak, Live Oaks, hollies, Cherry laurels, euonymous, osmanthuses, palms, evergreen viburnums,lorapetalum, evergreen ferns, etc keep our yard green all winter! Also, I have four camellias in full bloom now! -- Spring's Promise, Winter's Joy, unnamed white, and Winter's Fire. My Ashton's Supreme has not started yet, but will soon. Some pink is peaking out of the buds.

I was driving yesterday, glanced out my window, and just grabbed the phone and snapped this. Mind you I am NOT a photographer by any stretch of the imagination. I wasn't even looking, maybe I should do that more often!

I am lucky enough to see those spectacular sunrises :-)

I love taking pictures of the sky and I see I am not alone lol

For everyone that is missing their own sunrises...that is why I send you mine so you do not have to miss out on it.

Barb nope...he never shows his picture rofl Just kidding. I am sure he will stop by when he can.

Margaret YES it is great to be alive! It might not be what we wish for...but for everything there is a reason.

So how about if we just enjoy what we DO HAVE.

That brings a lot more peace to your soul

Very nice Lucy, you are lucky. Do you live near a pulp mill? Yall dont even have trees in Texas do you? We always have beautiful sunsets like that in my home town. I was told it was because of the gasses put in the air by the pulp mill.

Brandon you are kiddin right lol...they plant trees all the time lol When we bought the house it was nothing but Oak trees. Like a forest.

no pulp mill. Just living on top of a hill.

Haha, well I was kinda kidding. When I went to my great grandpapa's in western Texas, I dont remember seeing hardly any trees. Some in people's yards but none along the highway. Just naked flat lands. Proly just thinkin that yall dont have any cause i'm used to seeing way more on the coast here.
Here is a sunset from my home town. I cant take credit for the pic though. I found this one on line but we have them like this all the time. I just realized yours is a sun rise. I didn't see them too often back then, haha. The ones here in VA are just yellow and blind me on the way to work :(
