Blackened leaves on nepenthes ventricosa

I have a nepenthes ventricosa that I got early this summer. I kept it outside up until recently, when its gotten colder (in low 60s). The pitchers died off after a freak cold day in august ( i read on these forums that this is a normal response to cold weather), but the plant itself was thriving, doubling in height. Lately I have been noticing some of the leaves on the bottom are turning brown and black, crinkling up. I have been keeping the soil moist while the plant is inside and it hangs in the window, out of direct sunlight. Is it a good idea to cut off the dying leaves? The tendrils on the new leaves are looking dry to me too. Should the plant be fertilized? I love this plant and I don't want it to die on me! Any suggestions for indoor care?
