Nepenthes with bugs in dry pitchers

Got a Nepenthes maxima X ventricosa last week, and it's a nice-looking plant. Put it outside in the yard, where another unidentified Nepenthes I have is thriving. I suspect the maxima X ventricosa will like it out there as well. It had, of course, lost all of the fluid in its pitchers during shipping. Well, my yard has a rich fauna, and after a couple of days the N. maxima X ventricosa had caught a couple of fat roaches. They're scrambling around in this dry pitcher, not being killed or digested. Is this a problem? My instinct says to just leave it alone, take care of the plant as usual, and it will eventually secrete the juice to dispose of these roaches. Experienced Nepenthes growers, what do you think?
