When is anytime or as soon you have time for re-potting. My thoughts would be to let them remain sun protected until established in the growing pots..

I don't know if this is recommended but I'm about a 6 weeks ahead of you in the time frame arena. I removed the seed husk or "hats" off of mine when they looked about like yours and the leave really took off. Right now you have leaves under those "hats" and they are not doing anything in the dark for your plant.

This is just me, but I used a Q-tip to wet the husk. Hold it touching a few seconds and it will absorb water and soften then I just CAREFULLY lifted them off. Within a day or two I really saw a difference.

Mine are about 8 to 10 weeks old now and are still in the original container and have 3 to 4 sets of leaves. I was told it's time to transplant but I just have not got around to it yet. But mrlike2u is right the Adenium forum has some really sharp folks growing adeniums from seed and some really good reads on the subject.

Oh mine also really took off when I started putting them out in full sun. I'm in Memphis I don't think our climate is much different highs anywhere from 80 to 90 about this time of year and I have had no issues with the sun. They get about 6 hours of direct light a day. I spray them well everyday and about every 3rd day I am soaking the mix. By that time its pretty dry but I have read that actually makes for a stronger plant in the future. But alas you've got all I have to offer so good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks guys! JGW3, I was actually scared to pull the little hats off because they weren't coming off with a gentle tug. I'll try the Q-tip with water though. I just didn't want to rip off their only leaves, which sounds like something I'd do haha.

I had no idea there was an entire adenium forum so I'll head over there if things go south. I'll be putting them (still in filtered sun) where they can get more sun today and see if they take it well.

Im really new and those are just the things I have happened to figure out so far. I was amazed at how tough these little guys are. Reading the posts over at the Adenium forum you'll see they talk about just about everything but being gentle with them. Have fun and good luck!

Agree with Wes about the Adenium forum. Also, while they need water, at this stage of development they can easily rot at the base so tread lightly with watering.
