Wow, Knotz. I just ordered from them a few days ago. I got 3 Acai Plams, from which come the Acai berries, that all the health nuts are talking about, and an Abyssinian Red Ribbed Banana. I got the name of the vendor on the Tropicals Forum. Can't wait to get these. The banana is going to really make a statement, in my yard. Hopefully, the berries will make a statement in my health! The photos are from the seller's listings. Traveler Palms (not really a palm) are amazing. They grow really fast. I had to remove some from my backyard, after about three years, because hey were reaching the power lines. Now that I've got extra land, I may try again. Congratulations on your great find! Bob

Hello Lucy! Nice blooms. I have some kangaroo paws in ground. They are actually very fussy plants. They are from parts in Australia where they experience regular, prolonged drought. They often go dormant in the summer, so summer water will kill them. I have mine on a drip irrigation system and they receive minimal water in the summer, but they also have excellent drainage, so the water just keeps them from going dormant. They are an excellent plant for xeric gardens. I have mine growing alongside aloes, agaves, beschorneria, ice plants, yuccas, sedums...all of which have similar water needs. One other thing, they are very suceptible to a kind of fungus if they are watered overhead. That's why I have mine on a drip system. Do a google search to find out more infomation on them. They are also fussy about soil PH requirements I think. Good luck! Note: If you remove spent blooms, most varieties will rebloom for you.

Barb I had wind damage done to the canna's like that...they just come growing back from the inside again. I am with Karyn...water. The tree might take to much away from them right now. The same thing happened to me. I tried to safe the plants from the freeze with covering them up...and the wind and weight hurt them more then the freeze that never came Lucy
