Mmmmmm I was thinking the same thing as far as Im concerned.
We would need some kind of a watering system.
The best Ive come up with is those pet water bowls that use the 2 litre coke bottles that screw into the bowl upside down, as the pet drinks and the water gets lower it runs out of the coke bottles and refills, when it hits full pressure stops anymore.
Ive seen small ones with 2x2 liter bottles, I wonder if mabey there would be a larger one, or if something could even be made on this idea?

Hmmmm, that's a tough one. I would just say get REALLY deep water trays, but even then I doubt you could keep water in there for a whole month. I'll get back to you if I think of anything...

Can't you have someone come in to water the plants, take in your mail, turn your lights on and off (so it looks like someone is still living there)? I know pet-sitters do these things, but if you don't have pets then you'd have to find someone else.

I gave the 8 year old girl next door $20 to water mine. Her mom and dad made sure she did it right and all was just peachy when I got back.

Get a Dehumidifyer that has a hose atatchemnt, cut it open hook up a hose to youre trays,set the Dehumidifyer up above the trays so the water drains, and hope it doesnt over flow and if it does you might have a lil bit of a wet carpet. Or floor. But thats how i get my Water is thru a Dehumidifyer. It might work for you if you have any moisture in the house. (if you have a basement use that, they are plenty moist)
