ID two brugs? any chance

Hi all, I ususally lurk here as I only have 3 varieties of brug, had 4 but one didn't survive through my winter. Is there any chance the 2 that are blooming now can be id'd? Here are some photos, the pink I have about 2 years, and the yellow/orange about 9.

The pink starts yellowish white then changes to reddish pink here are some photos.

here is a shot of the 4 outside my screen house. The pink provided an early july flush right before a heatwave. The yellow are blooming for the fist time in 5 years, I kept them as cuttings in water this past winter discarding the main plant which hadn't bloomed in years. I guess it was not being cared for properly.

HI Chaz. what beautiful NOIDS you got there. the 2nd picture looks neet. LOVE the greenhouse.
Being new. All I know is if you do not have them tagged, they will always be NOIDS. Because there are way to many look a likes.
Read yesterday that one way to *test* IF you are right with what it might be, is take TWO of the same. pollinate. If they are the same, they will not produce a seedpod.
Then if you are like me and fail to pollinate the right way......you might end up thinking they are the same and naming them. I would go with what everybody here says. no tag...its a no ID brug. Sorry...but maybe someone here can help you along better. LIke I said. First season and learning.

Thanks for you help, I was thinking it may be impossible to nail an ID for sure. But, it doesn't hurt to ask!!! Thanks for the complement on the screenhouse, I wish it were a greenhouse. I was hoping to put in a green house next year but with the cost of heating one here in New England I may have to wait a bit. I heard today heating oil is about to triple in price this winter. UGH, I'll have to stick with keeping them dormant in the basement.

Okay, almost randomly I found something while looking at mesembs after submitting this post. I'm now 99% certain the last one is Jensenobotrya lossowiana. I just love that name. But I can't believe, after the hundreds of images I looked through last year on dedicated mesemb sites, all it took was a chance image on Wikipedia, of all places!

I think the importaant phrase in your post was "It'd be alot od work" A 10 ft. jm ( voluteer ) will be more than "alot " and three of them ..and remember you not only got to dig out these big suckers but replant them .Get out the crash pads !!!... You could have them pro clamshel;l removed and planted but that would be expensive . And volunteer Jm's really are not worth that much unless personally if there is some sentimental reason which It seems there isn't in this case. To top this all off they have maybe a 50-50 chance of surviving ( at best IMHO) alot depending on how much root system you can take vis a vis how powerful your crash pads are and how good the paramedics are ;>) .And I don't think you will ever find a pot big enough for a tree that size!! To oput it more bluntly you have little to gain and alot to loose and the math just don't work on this matter ..david

Unfortunately it's sometimes almost impossible to tell the variety even after the blooms open since there are so many named varieties. Post pics after the blooms open and someone might be able to help! Congrats on your new peonies!

Chaz what is a sreenhouse? Sorry I don't know. What do you use it for?
I agree it never hurts to ask. All you can get is a yes or no or what you want to hear or not.
I guess I am glad we are not heating with oil! HOpe it will not be to bad. Maybe it will get better!

a screen house is like a screened in room. It's a free standing structure with a tent like covering and zippered screen sides. We have a horrible mosquito problem up here in New England and you can't sit outdoors during the evening or early morning with out protection. I have a small pond and don't spray the garden with insecticides in order to not harm bees, wasps, butterflys, or other beneficial insects. So with out the screen house we couldn't enjoy the garden or outdoors during peak mosquito hours. It also provides some shade protection for some of my house plants that summer outdoors.

I'm seriously thinking of converting to natural gas for heating but it's a huge investment. I don't have the room for a wood or pellet stove but our neighbors saves over $1,000. last winter using one. I've cut back on the AC this summer in anticipation of winter heat bills.

LOL, my image of you is not going down. I have to read and re-read everything I type. My fingers go faster than my mind sometimes.
Have a great night, gonna go enjoy that brug scent now in my screenhouse, safely protected from the mosquitos! LOL
