Advise on self seeding butterfly boarder

riverterrace

I planted a new butterfly boarder this year with lots of annuals and perennials that I hope will reseed for a bigger show next year. I want a loose wild garden effect so IÂm ok with plants popping up in random places. Most of the garden has been mulched with shredded bark, except for a few large drifts where I recently planted daffodil bulbs. My questions are:

1) Will the plants be able to reseed with the mulch covering?

2) I expect that I will get a lot of seedlings in the daffodil beds  will the daffodils kill them and if so, can I transplant them somewhere else in the spring? How big do the seedlings need to be before I can transplant them? Or should I weed them out to prevent crowding the daffodils?

The plants in question are listed below. Most are still in bloom and I have not deadheaded all season.

Echinacea

Black-eyed Susan

Icicle Spike Speedwell

Purpletop verbena

Monarda

Cosmos

Cleome

Any other advice on managing this type of garden would be appreciated!
