Hi Aker, a lot of nurseries will give them different names just to sell them and they are really the D. metel var chlorantha. Like I stated they will have a fragrance at different periods of the day and I'm sure yours had the right growing conditions to give off that fragrance. Congrats on getting it to smell so sweet, sorry it didn't set seeds so you could continue onto the next generation. Let me know if you would like some seeds we have here.

Hey Aker, I was checking some old photos and it is possible that this one is a D. inoxia it the fruit has lots of fine hairs that are thin and sharp spines?

I live in South Texas, and would be willing to test some seeds for you. I would not do this until March or April. February is out coldest month. I will plant them directly outside. My datura are about 5 foot tall, and full of blooms right now. Will this have a pretty flower, like the double datura? I am 37 miles north of Corpus Christi, in a town called Rockport, this is my second residence, I have alot of flower beds there with great soil. Barbra,
