Need Help Guiding BST Caterpillars To Spots To Pupate

I am having a little problem this year with BSTs pupating in strange spots. Well, not so much strange as dangerous for them. I have always raised them in mesh cubes. In the past, most have pupated on the rims of the cubes with some pupating in the parsley. This year, at least half are pupating in the parsley which is especially bad if someone else is eating said parsley! One year I offered them sticks and no one pupated on them. I have seven getting ready to pupate now. Two of them had built slings in parsley so I cut off the sprig and tacked it to a board so they could pupate. I have five others wandering around. I gave them their own cube and put in a thick stem from a zinnia plant and I cut up several tropical milkweed plants that had fairly thick stems. So far, no takers. Anything else I can give them that they might want to pupate on?
