I am glad you think so, too. I am also thinking of substituting the barberry I was thinking of buying with my Burning Bushes I have. I am thinking the common privet I have as well. We recently moved into San Timoteo Canyon, and I am looking for just about anything drought tolerant and rabbit proof (flowers, shrubs, small trees). We have no grass, so I am wanting to make a xeroscape front yard. We have mature trees, so a great part sun-part shade canopy (they are California pepper and birch trees). HELP!!
