Moving VFT's to Buffalo,N.Y. from Sc

I could use some advice regarding my V.F.T.'s . I have about 30 plants, some of which I have grown from seed , and others that are now in " colonies" in large pots ,some as old as 7 years , and they are all doing beautifully . Here's where my question comes in . I live in Sunny South Carolina , not too far from where V.F.T.'s come from naturally, so I simply leave them outside all year long except when I have " yearlings" or first year/just sprouted plants .

It looks like I may be re-locating to Buffalo, N.Y. where V.F.T."s are not native ( LOL ) , and I could use some advice regarding growing them there, and wintering them over, etc. I plan on growing them outside as much as possible , since they enjoy the sunshine so much . Any ideas and tips will be greatly appreciated !

Thanks !

I live in the Buffalo area. Many of here put dormancy requiring plants like VFT's in an attic or garage or the fridge. Other than that, from May->November they can just go outside.
