HORRENDOUSA ALIENENSII! ??
Unfortunately it does not occur naturally on Earth.
But fortunately for us some very cool writers and artists
who found inspiration in the one they found dead were able
to retell its story.
Of course most of know that story: It is Suddenly Seymour
and the Lets Electrocute the Horrendousa Alienensii!!!
So like alot of life's cool moments it was all up in smoke!

PS. There are alot of nice smaller carnivorous plants that will not eat you or your pet cat! Just google Sarrencia,
Darlingtonia, Pinguicula, Drosera, and Heliamphora to name
a few.

But then again if any unexpected solar eclipses happen you
may want to check out that chinese plant shop down on Broadway!

Whell yea, but I for got to add this to my post, We shouldnt think to low of them, yes its true their are some preaty far fetched ideads about carnivorous plants! I used to think Venus Flytraps could eat Toads, Now learning about them, I know they cant. Thats the possibility of a nep :-D! Sitll we shouldnt Hack on them cause of The culture put around by them by the silver screen.

I vaguely remember that topic. Um.... the forum search engine is definitely an under-utilized tool and could cite a few reasons why people don't use them.

Heh, heh, those were funny questions and I loved the "inquisitive idiots" post!! I think it was all in jest but I enjoyed it. It does touch on an aspect of my life though. When I tell people I grow carnivorous plants they look at me strangely. Then I ask them, "Isn't it really cool and bizarre that a plant can eat an animal"? Then they say, "Yeah, that is kinda neat".

Lindaflower: When I worked for a lab, I had the majority of my plants there, in the building next door, which was used for storage and supplies. Occasionally, I had the opportunity to talk about my hobby and give them a tour. now some co-workers thought I was weird. Other were neutral. And yet others were intrigued. I would say that I gave away beginner CP's to ~12 of my co-workers! Pretty neat!

The majority of people don't know anything about CPs at all, except some have heard of the VFT. Those of us who grow them, and in my case keep frogs, are definitely "weird people." I have to watch out, the church kids like poking at my VFT traps to see them closed. They come over all the time and want to touch my plant.I thought about telling them to watch out, it hasn't eated in a while and may take a bite out of your finger, but that would be cruel so I haven't done that. :)

it would be cool if there were such thing.. but not really.
I could imagine if the whole plant population gets depleted by another plant who eats them.. it would definatly suck not having other species around. but good thing there's no such thing ;o.o
