Looks like the best viewing was this morning, but you can probably still view it tonite.

I checked the forecast for the southeast Ches Bay - WU says "partly cloudy" now, but it's very clear. After rains stopped yesterday, it was very clear last night - many stars. Keep your fingers crossed - the cloudy weather may hold of a little longer.

Well rats! Since I am up anyway, I thought I would go out to do a "sky check" and get my lawn chair, blanket, etc together for a little watching in an hour or so... and it is overcast! The weather dorks were wrong again when they said it would be a clear night with great viewing. GRRRRRRRRRRR! Alexa - who really is disappointed by this turn of events :-(

Geminid meteor shower!

I went out of town to a light free road after 9 pm but saw nothing. The sky was dark enough, but there may have been a thin cloud layer low on the horizon over Lake Michigan, enough to intefere with viewing at that time of night. Possibly, it would have been better later in the night when the meteors would have been higher in the sky. We gave up and went home - twas getting too chilly for no return of sighting.

I got up at 4 this morning but it was too cloudy to see anything. Hopefully it will be clearer tonight. I might even take the telescope out.

I set an alarm for 3am, but there was too much light to see much (from a shopping center nearby and some street lights). I saw a couple of the larger ones streak by.

I was up last night 3-4 am much to cloudy to see anything hope its better tonight but it's raining now...sigh..

It does not look promising for here. Out of ALL days, the weather has to be cloudy, rainy and windy since the afternoon.

Hope someone gets to see it!!!!
