need help on my website

jeri and i are putting together a website and running into a few problems . neither of us are great writers and we need some help .

on the front page, we want to feature a brug "grower of the month" . any writers out there willing to write such an article for us ?

i also need help on descriptions . over 200 brugs will be on this site and as i pointed out before ,i'm no writer .

i can trade brugs for help

I would love to help, but I dont feel I am experienced in the brug field to help. I'm still too new, darn it. I'm sure you'll find someone on here quickly though. Good luck in your search, and I wish you all the luck in the world with your web site..very cool. If I can help in any way, I will.

Shady Oaks is very reputable. I've not purchased eggs or livestock from them but have purchased a good amount of larval host plants to attract certain butterflies to my yard. Perhaps the project can include growing the larval host of a couple of butterflies and then the children could learn about conservation and how and what to plant to attract the native species. Seems it would be better in the long run if a patch of milkweed (Monarch), cudweed (Painted Lady) or passiflora (various fritillaries) or some other native larval host were planted to ensure they will keep coming back. Help choosing a refrigerator - need website with good specs

Thank you. What is confusing the *&^%$ out of me is that most 20-21 CF fridges have a width of about 32.5". Most 18 CF fridges have a width of about 29.5". This leads me to believe that these are made to fit in the standard kitchen design allotment of space of 30 or 33," which match perfectly to the standard sizes of the "over the fridge" cabinets which are 30 and 33" for my size kitchen. HOWEVER, when you actually look at the manufacuters install instructions, they claim that you need 1/2" of space on each side of the fridge, as opposed to the 1/4" that you are given. It's very confusing to me. I am scared that the 32.5" width fridge either won't fit or won't operate properly, but it seems I have an extra 2.5" inches of space for a 29.5" fridge. Our current fridge, at 31" seems to have too much space as it is.

Eddie, good idea! My plate is full right now, with being chair of our Master Gardener's Fall Symposium. Check with me after October 25th!! There's all kinds of topics that could be covered dealing with brugs. Eddie, are you adding Dat. seeds to your sales? Sorry, I don't know what's on your website!

eddiedewayne, congrats on stepping into the website!! I wish more folks would do so as there are a lot of folks that can offer great information. I would suggest that you might do a news letter when it comes to featuring someone and not put this on your front page. That should be about you and what is your basic information on growing, it's your site?? Also when using others information one needs to have a clear understanding and credit given. Just a little in put, again congrats and I look forward in seeing what you come up with!!

shawn , at first this website will be similar to the ones you mentioned . i hope to start adding other brug lovers pics on the site, with there names and maybe a bit of info about them.. we want this to be "our" website, not just jeri's and mine...

Honestly? Annette (technodweeb) is an excellent creative writer, and if you could coax her to do this you will have some great material. Haven't seen her around here lately....

Also Jim (shorty) is great!

I hope you folks don't mind me speaking for ya, but I just had to recommend you. Who wants to second that? :)

Of course there are also allot of other good choices from the fine people here.

Barry, I completely agree with you. Two excellent choices.
Annette has been really busy, but it would be great if she could find the time.
And where the heck has that shorty/Jim been??

Alot of people on here who are so smart and know so much about brugs and could prob write well..come on, dont be shy..Eddie needs you, speak up, lol.

This is what I get for reading post sometimes when I do not have time to respond right away. I thought I did and now I see that I still have not told you that I can not wait and I know it will be great that you are taking that step. You have something to say and show on it. I had so many chances to have one....but until I have something special to share I always thought why bother.
