Where I have mixed beds, I put daylily clumps in singles. I like the flowers sticking up above the surrounding foliage. They'll grow into larger clumps over time and not look so lonely. I pack my beds pretty well with lots of different flowers, so the foliage is well hidden once the blooms are done. I also plant Oriental and Asiatic lilies the same way. They poke up above the surrounding plants. For plants that can be divided, I rarely buy three of them. I buy one and divide it the next year. It takes a little patience to have a more interesting garden, but with a limited budget, it allows me to have more variety.

Oh Boy. It sounds like you mean to say, they eat everything. Someone please tell me that's not true! In the back of my mind, I think you are right username. I'd find a stray here and there on other plants, one on a marigold, one on my sumac (but I don't think it had eaten the sumac). I won't give up tho! I've winter sowed some of the stuff on the list and will keep searching. LOL, I like the idea of recommending their favorites to my neighbor, the one I don't like, who has asked me for gardening advice. She'll have a virtual forest of zinnias and dahlias this year! LOL! (Just kidding.)

If we just watch for the box when it is sent so it doesn'r sit over night in the mailbox, it should be fine. About the fingerling potatoes, We just had some delicious mixed colored fingerling potates from Costco and I wondered why couln't I buy a bag of it to cut up and plant in the garden? I would love to have more fruit trees like apple tree cuttings that don't require any spraying to produce great crunchy apples, apricots ,pawpaw,persimmons and other unusual fruits. Oh and raspberry and other berry cuttings too!!! Asparagus roots...
