Bob and Dawn, Woo Hoo, we're so glad you guys can make it once again. I was over at rootdiggernc's and we think, now just remember, WE THINK, the plant she got from you is one of the many forms of Coreopsis. It is really pretty, though. I wouldn't mind having a piece of that. OK, guys, I'm inviting everyone from my Daylily club to come, so hopefully some of them will show up with some plants or planting items as well. Anyone need magazines? I have tons. Anything in particular that you need? Let me know. I've got to get out and dig in the next couple of days, so my yard is pretty much up for grabs. LOL Well, almost. I got tons of grass if anyone wants to come dig it out. I need to make more room for the daylilies I bought today at our Regional 15 Meeting Auction! I got some beauties!

Welcome. I live near Greensboro but come over to WS often as we have an active native plant group that alternates meeting between the two areas. I am not a purist and do have a few iris, too, but I am afraid they don't get much TLC from me. Anyway, if you are interested in coming to any of our meetings or our hikes, just email me off-list.I think there is a combo holiday meeting soon with the local butterfly chapter. You might be interested in that group, too. I also know many people who are in several of the bird groups. As all gardeners know, we have to have those butterflies, birds, and many beneficial insects in order to have great plants! Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy the area!

April 29 is a Sunday. I can come on Sunday, but not on Sat., if that is actually the date. Double check and repost. Would love to visit and bring a few plants to swap. Have a few hexastylis, lobelias, iteas, and other natives IF they pull through the winter outside in pots! Non-natives would be rohdeas and corydalis.

I would like a small start of orange mint, please, Tigerdawn!!! And Kelly, if Chandra "forgets" (although I just can't see that happening), I've got some growing and we can dig you up some. Mine is on the outside of the garden...to lure away some unwanted insects so let's try to get it out of Chandra's bed first but I've gotcha covered if not. Also, we have a PLETHORA of Chickasaw (wild) plums. Tigerdawn, you took some home last year, how did they do? I've got about 6 or 7 that have insisted on coming up in the OG (Original Garden)...and I'm determined to dig them out once and for all this year. We've also got them coming up in other areas that we just mow down. They have a really pretty bark in the winter months. If time permits, I'll pot some of those up too if anyone is interested. I took a huge tub of starts to Ilene (who once was a member here) last September and I'm very happy to report that many survived the winter in Bartlesville! We're close to needing to start another thread. If someone gets there before I do, please name it "2011 Spring Fling Thread II"...or something like that so we can find it later. Oh mercy...I'm listening to the 10 o'clock weather and looks like some of us may need to replace some things due to a freeze tonite. This "Fling" might turn out to be quite active!
