Unless you are comfortable and have grown crassula before, I wouldn't buy a big plant.

I can only offer an opinion based on my climate under my care.

This plant does best in as much sun as possible. My largest one is in "almost" full sun. Sun from sunrise until very late afternoon. I also have summer temps that can go over 110 degrees. The more shade I give one, the more it is green and not yellow and red.

It colors best in the winter right up against the plastic on the west wall of the greenhouse. Plants on the east side of the greenhouse don't look as nice.

I experimented with a few indoors over the winter. The only one that held any color was one right against a south window that wasn't obstructed by things outside. Plants in the east windows were pretty much green.

I would go easy on water and very easy on fertilizer.

In my opinion most people over pot crassula and that is why they don't see blooms.

Ok I found another one in a 1 gal bucket. This pot is very full looks like maybe it was cuttings a one time. Does this grow better as a single trunk plant like you see regular jades or is it better off as a bushy plant. I did google this and it is described as a slow growing bush. The information said that it could stay out on my porch down as low as 30. Is this what others have found to be true. I live in what is call the high desert so although summers can get very hot and very little if any humidity winters are mild but do sometimes drop below freezing. What type of pot material is best for this plant (plastic, terracotta, unglazed,glazed?) I don't want to overpot so if some knowledgeable succulent gurus could pass along some first hand tips I would be very grateful.
